Goan Imperial Holidays — Hotel in Goa

The location is Goan Imperial Holidays in Varca. (Listed on Airbnb as "Cozy 2BHK daffodils at Varca" by Ramiro). A two star holiday home that is not worth the price! Red flags that I missed is that there is NO review for this listing on Airbnb since 2018!! We did not meet the host. Housekeeping let us in to our room. The 2BHK given to us in NOT the one in the listing. It's a complete different apartment! The host confirmed with me that the pool is functional, however it has NOT been working since the last 10 days until we checked out! There is NO wifi ! The host also confirmed with me that the location is a 10 minute walk from the beach (Varca) however it is actually a 30 min walk as we walked to the beach. This is incorrect information! The location is deliberately incorrectly listed! A functional kitchen is mentioned, but there is NO dish washing soap or scrubber, NO salt, pepper, oil or any other basic stuff. There is a cooker, a pot and a pan, there are cups, glasses, spoons, forks and knives, fridge, microwave, washing machine, stove and gas. There are NO garbage bags in the dustbins. The kitchen window does not have a curtain and anyone from outside can see in the house. When asked for a curtain we were told no such curtains are there. The bathroom in the master bedroom does not have a shelf. We had to keep our toiletries on the sink! No toilet paper holder or toilet paper provided as well. There is hot and cold water 27 x 7. The door to the master bedroom locks due to a fault in location of the door latch. We had to call housekeeping for the keys twice to open the door. There is only ONE remote for the air-conditioning to be shared between THREE rooms (2 bedrooms, 1 hall)! How is one supposed to turn off/on the AC in the night is beyond me. There are mosquitoes, ants and cobwebs everywhere!! Towels, soap and a 5 liter jar of water was provided. We had to ask for an iron, but no ironing board was given. There is a supermarket just outside at a 2 min walk which also sells alcohol. Also please check the cancellation policy !! In short, there are other places with better amenities near the beach for a cheaper price!! Pics uploaded...

Overall it was an average stay and I will explain why. Location - it is located in varca a little inside from the main road. It's fine for people who have scooties / cars. Property - huge property with a big pool and multiple flats of 1/2/3 bhks with gas stove and essential basic plates and cookwares to live for a long time. But the properties are extremely poorly maintained. It will break your heart to see how such lavish and amazing flats with great views and large balconies, have gone down just because it is not maintained well. The taps leak water, washrooms have hair and fowl smell. The cookwares provided were in pretty bad condition. The floors were full of dust and the bedspreads were of very poor quality. The security is also a bit questionable because we lost our speaker by the swimming pool and despite the staff's best efforts, it could never be retrieved. I have been to many properties with pools and never seen such a situation occur even when belongings are left by the pool by mistake. Staff is sweet and tries to help but they are extremely laid-back. They took one whole day to give us our keys to the flat ,so you can imagine. The only thing they were prompt about was getting us daily water. But they don't put any effort into maintaining the places which is very sad to see. The pool is clean and pretty well maintained but be cautious, few tiles at the bottom of the pool are broken at the corners, again something that I have never seen happen. So be cautious about that. That said, the prices are very very reasonable and we stayed here for 4 days and despite the challenges, enjoyed being able to prepare some tid bits and coffee for ourselves and enjoy chilled beer from the fridge and watch tv at times. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool. And were very grateful that the staff was understanding and let us stay for a little bit longer than the usual check out time. Stay in this property through Airbnb for three days at Magson supermarket Varca South Goa the access of beaches Varca 1.5 km Trinity beach 3.5km Benaulim beach 4.5 km away Colva7 km away Benaulim is the finest beach from all aspects of location cleanliness parking & restaurants wise,

Varca beach has not direct access but you have to go through Mahindra club property

Trinity beach is also amazing and less crowded but easily accessible Colva beach now become crowded with restaurants and dirty ness

Now as far as this property concern it was one bhk property along with so many flats and pool Parking is available The cleanliness is extremely bad from inside Bedsheets were not changed Kitchen has an induction but with a minimum utensil, however, provided few more on our demand The supporting staff were rude Ms corrin, however, resolve our issues after 2-3 calls The core issue of service is very pathetic However, microwave fridge induction Geyser Ac was installed but the washing machine was not given All switches were not useable and damaged inside lights were not working, The cleanliness around the area was terrible and have so many domestic dogs luckily not bite anyone We paid 8500 per day for 1 bhk and I did not recommend this property for the family if have to stay in some limitations and compromises But if you get this 1bhk for 4-5 person good in 3-4 thousand rupees per day than ok Pl arrange all small things for your food and toiletries that don't provide you Magson superstore near to you even tea and breakfast not served However, the main road is 100-200 mtr away Require to improve a lot and various good options available near to beaches My final conclusion not to visit again in this property in this price but I value 3-4 thousand for 4-5...
