Joshua's Beach House — Hotel in Goa

We were full house in Joshua’s Beach House with 6 families in 6 rooms for 3 nights. The location is just amazing with 2-3mins walk to the Calangute beach.It is surrounded by host of restaurants from Udupi Veg for breakfast or lunch/dinner in any of the next door restaurants for sea food. The next door fish spa and massage was very tempting but did not try it due to lack of time.||||The house as such has great cross ventilation and good sun light with access to balcony in all rooms. The experience in sitting in the balcony on hot summer||and still getting cool breeze was just awesome. As it is surrounded by good coconut trees and garden, the seating in the front porch or backyard was soothing with cool breeze anytime of the day. The care takers ‘kubudu’ is a go to person for everything from arranging commute to sight seeing, grocery shopping and pretty much all the help required for a comfortable stay. His wife ‘Sanchita’ made delicious food from poha, to poori-bhaji, yummy omelettes etc.||||There is enough place in the front portion and sides for kids to play as we had 5 kids ranging from 12-6yrs. They had loads of fun playing at the Joshua house or otherwise at the beach. The men were regulars for morning jog/walk at the beach and beach football/volleyball in the evening. Hot water available anytime of the day and we stayed in 1st floor room but did not use AC for all 3 days of the stay as fan was more than enough.||||Suggested improvements from my experience is having WiFi access as it is required for some cases. The mobile network signal is available only at certain points of the house. The backyard can be maintained well. I strongly recommend adding one night barbecue party per stay or have provision for a barbecue. I did get my towels changed alternate days but not like the resorts where everyday towels/bed sheets can be changed which was ok.||||Overall our stay was a completely relaxed and a super fun filled vacation at...

It's rare in this day and age for family from various parts to find the time and come together. When it did happen finally, Joshua's Beach House was the perfect place to come together and unwind. Good clean a/c rooms (6 in all), fantastic staff at your service led by Khudbu and his wife (who is an awesome cook), walking access to the beach, restaurants all around and central location of this large house, made it ideal for kids to run around and be left alone to unwind (rather than the omnipresent TV, video games and ipad that they're stuck with). For the adults, not to be stuck with their phones and whatsapp messages was an absolute delight. Bonding and laughing over beer, conversation and food was the highlight. Time spent on the beach playing footy, watching the sunset and cooling the senses as the waves make this mighty journey to finally meet their beloved sands and pull them back was sheer delight! Letting your hair down and dancing silly was a confirmation that behind those grey strands, there was still that child waiting to be unleashed. Joshua’s Beach House is quite literally only a stone’s throw away from the beach. The location is outstanding with easy access to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. All within a two to five minute walking distance. If you are looking for a place with a kitchenette and extended stay amenities (refrigerator, microwave, stove top, etc.) this is the perfect place for you. The place is also fitted with CCTV cameras on the outside so you can be sure you are in ‘safe’ hands. Rooms are spacious and clean with double beds and furnished in quintessential “Goan” style.
