Maravilha a Boutique Stay — Hotel in Goa

Our stay at Maravilha was nothing less than royal! The luxurious property is located in Assagao, away from the chaos of Goa, yet not too far beaches and popular cafes and restaurants. The property is basically a huge 200-year-old Portuguese house that has been tastefully renovated with spatial designer rooms. Today, it is a luxurious modern house that still stands testament to its past with the antiquities and royal charm.

Maravilha features 14 rooms, an in-house kitchen, a big dining area, a functional lounge room, and a swimming pool. The staff is welcoming, ever-so-smiling, and highly hospitable. They were always on their toes to make us feel at home yet gave us the privacy we were seeking. The property was well-kept at all times.

Striking Indo-Portuguese elements stud the space at Maravilha, like the designer tiles in the rooms, lounge chairs outside the reception, vintage artefacts that complement the décor, or the illustrator paintings hung everywhere. Most rooms face the pool and some face the garden. Plus points to the eye for detail – be it lighting or the selection of furniture. Each room is equipped with high-speed internet connectivity, making Maravilha a perfect workcation place.

We found the property to be perfect for family reunions and celebrations. You can book the entire property and have a private exclusive party of your own with your loved ones.

Special thanks to Jenny, Lenny, Angelo, and Sayoni for their hospitality and for the interesting conversations that we have had. They suggested us nearby places to visit and must-try dishes in the vicinity. Oh, and they have bicycles too – both for men and women. We rode those to a nearby café. They have ample parking space opposite the property.

Maravilha

Our recent stay at the Maravilha Resort located in Assagao (North Goa) was superb!

It’s a boutique resort surrounded by greenery all across.

We stayed here for a day and was absolutely amazed.

The look of the Hotel, hotel rooms, it’s amenities etc is even more beautiful when you’re actually at the property then what you see on the online portals.

We were been greeted with a wide smile along with the local typical Kokam juice while we were checking in. The lobby is not that spacious but it’s comfortable.

The hotel only has one restaurant viz known as Mums Kitchen. The restaurant serves amazing Goan dishes also love the Royal look of the restaurant overall.

The BEST part about this property is it’s rooms. Trust me they’re absolutely stunning and delightful. Nothing less then a 5 star. Beds are super comfortable. Toiletries are of good quality. The view overlooking the swimming pool and the forest from the rooms at Maravilha is marvellous!

Service level from concierge and housekeeping were faultless.

Overall Ambiance was spotlessly clean.

This is our creative abode for a couple of days, an impeccably restored, 200 year old Portuguese heritage villa in the midst of a quiet inland village of Assagao in Goa. A group of fruit bats are playing in the trees as I type this, and the prettiest male peacock is boasting his impressively sized and patterned plumage to attract a mate. We wake up here to the lush green forest view from our balcony with a cup of cappuccino (creamiest ever). Goa in monsoon is magical! . . Every wall here talks about minimal art and refreshes our subconscious mind with new imaginations. The decor is simple, beautifully designed and inspiring for art lovers. . . Evenings are to explore the neighbourhood which has an elegant blend of baroque old-world charm with contemporary design all around. The property is perfectly located to have the fullest experience of the trendy, culturally enriching village of Assagao, surrounded by nature. Hiring a bike for a day to paddle around the village is a great idea. . .
