We had a booking for 12:30 pm for brunch here. Arrived on time only to see the place half empty but no one to acknowledge us at the door. We approached a server and told us that we had a reservation. She just said to wait and someone will come get us. We ended up waiting for another 15 mins where the servers just looked at us from the distance, still unwilling to give us a table. People came later than us and straight away were given a table (maybe because they were a big group). When we approached a server and showed our dissatisfaction, they just told us to grab a dirty table in a corner near the kitchen (assuming no other guest was willing to take it). Now we decided to just leave the place and head somewhere else which would atleast acknowledge their guests. To summarise, the problem is that they are very understaffed and the current staff don’t know how to handle guests. In a place like Goa, where there are so many upcoming cafés/restaurants which are truly amazing with food and their service, this place was a huge disappointment! We had heard only great reviews about it and wanted to try it out since our past trips to Goa. But I don’t think I’ll go...
Read moreA must visit in Assagao, Goa for a long lunch, great vibe and relaxed cocktails. It's truly an all in one and was the perfect place for my birthday lunch.
Beautifully done up space, very vibrant, great vibe, good choice of music, greens and peaceful. We were greeted by the beautiful Ginny Kohli and it was so inspiring to hear her journey to Goa and on how Neighbors came to life.
We started with some very cool day cocktails called The Kool Kid (Gin n cucumber based) and Benjis Bourbon (whisky based) and they were awesome!
Chef recommended us to try a variety of dishes like their Tartare Buratta, Duck and Cherry Sambousek, Beetroot Bitterballen, Fish burger and gosh!!!! What amazing food. Was by far my best meal in Goa. After a 30 days of no sugar ritual, I was treated by their Tres leches and cheese cake. Completely worth it!
If any of you are visiting Goa soon, do check out Neighbors in the Day which transforms to Guilte at night. Thank me later 😉

Definitely a food driven place. The effort is showcased on the plate. Serving flavour infused, elegant and scrumptious food.
Wholesome portions. Reasonably priced. Ambience - Warm, Comfortable, Open Atmosphere.
Food critique - To be honest all pros, from the beetroot salad In which the beetroot had a subtle hint of star anise to the tomato tartare that had a beautiful flavour combination and was just mouthgasmic with the hydration focused bread. The Basque cheesecake and the Tres Leches was just perfectly sweetened. Not overly sweet. Great balance of cream cheese sweetness ratio. Theee only critique would be that I personally would have devoured the cheesecake even more if it had a slightly more burnt texture and flavor as a Basque cheesecake should.
Bread game is on point. 9/10
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
