Hotel Royal Vadodara — Hotel in Gujarat

DON'T BOOK THROUGH OYO To all the fellow travelers, Please don't consider this property ever as the receptionist will not allow you to check in if you book at low prices. I booked this hotel and as I am wizard member in Oyo so got discount on actual price and when I visited to check in to my surprise, receptionist told me that I won't allow any guest who book this hotel below 1000. One guy who was also experiencing same as he too was wizard member and he also was not allowed to check in. Also he just kept saying I already mailed Oyo for this and I am not responsible for any thing. Even he would not cancel the booking to keep his safer side. Please don't book this property as you could be in trouble if not booked above 1000. And yes, I am not writing this of frustration but this thing seriously needs to be stopped. And by any chance if you guys too experience same, please do write here on Google to aware the travellers about this...

Check-in The staff was very rude. We had senior citizens and kids in the group. We had just reached the hotel after a 8 hour journey from Mumbai. The front desk kept insisting on providing aadhar for all guests although we had provided for our valid ID proof viz. PAN, Driving license.

Rooms The rooms were in a bad state. The room curtains had not been washed for ages. The AC worked but not in a good way. We had ordered additional bed for our kids - the extra beds which were provided were of pathetic condition. We had stayed on 24 December 2021. Whilst it was winter season, the hotel room does not have geysers. Hot water is provided only after 7 am in morning which comes directly in taps. There were even small cockroaches in one of our 4 rooms.

Overall, it was an unpleasant stay at this hotel. My entire family was unhappy with the entire experience at this hotel. I would rate it to be...

Toilet unhygienic yelloeish, same bedsheet folded daily after complaining at reception regarding issue they would say yes we had done, lots of flies mosquitoes u want b able to sleep if they wont put coil or hit spray...no 24hrs or even 12 hrs hot water for bath morning they provide only 6am to 10 or 11am boiler water for bath. Breakfast after 8am an their menu of single item is fixed everyday. If u wont believe Go an experience by yourself ..I had worst experience with my parents..not worth rs1500/- per day....we taught of going to another hotel but no rooms were available on Saturday weekend in that area at rs2000 atleast price we were ready to pay ...leaving our full payment for stay at royal.
