I recently stayed at Hotel Pineview Shimla and had a very disappointing experience. The moment I entered my room, I was greeted with a strong, unpleasant odour that lingered throughout my stay. The rooms were extremely compact, making it difficult to move around comfortably. To make matters worse, there was no ceiling fan, which made the room stuffy and uncomfortable.
The electrical sockets in the room were not working, so I couldn't charge my devices properly. Additionally, the balcony view was quite underwhelming, contrary to what was advertised on their website.
The pricing of the hotel was exorbitant given the limited amenities. They seem to charge high rates simply because they offer parking space, but this does not justify the overall cost. The hotel itself was poorly maintained, with visible signs of neglect everywhere.
To add insult to injury, basic toiletries such as soap and toothpaste were not provided, which is unacceptable at this price point. On top of all this, the food was outrageously expensive, making dining within the hotel an unappealing option. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The high cost does not match the subpar experience provided.
They are charging 4250/- for one night stay without anything complimentary. Thankfully we have got another hotel and we are...
Read moreWe visited Hotel Pineview for the kashmiri food festival they've been hosting in collaboration with Chor Bizarre. We ordered the following dishes - Bhindi yakhni, nadru palak, kashmiri seekh kebab, goshtaba, methi maaz, Kashmiri phirni and kahwah. I've had kasmiri food before and was led down by the below average food served. Goshtaba -The meat balls in goshtaba were terribly firm and tasted odd, the gravy also wasn't great. Kasmiri seekh kebab - seekh kababs made out of lamb are supposed to be juicy tender and moist instead they were firm, dry and chewy. Methi maaz - couldn't taste any Fenugreek in the dish. the dish is supposed to compromise of tripe, intestine and small chunks of meat and all we were served of masala. Nadru palak - an average preperation with hardly 4 to 5 pieces of nadru and a lot of masala Bhindi yakhni - the only dish that tasted how it's supposed to and the only reason the review deserves a single star Kahwa - the biggest joke of everything that was served to us, cheap kahwa in tea bags taste better than what we had. No taste of safron or any spices. Phirni - just average.
The food was overpriced and the quality of lamb and other ingredients used was way below average, It was a dining experience filled with disappointments considering how flavourful Kashmiri food...
