Prity Guest House — Hotel in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

I stayed at the Prity guest house for three weeks while I volunteered in Jaipur. If you are looking for an authentic traditional Rajasthan India experience this is the place to stay! You will share the space with the beautiful family who will treat you as family member. They told me when I first arrived to treat the house as my home. The family looked out for my safety, cooked the most delicious food and provided the best local recommendations. Mannu let me help her cook so I could learn how to make traditional foods!! I loved it. The room was basic, simple and clean and all I needed for my stay. If I needed anything the family were able to provide or help out. I stayed with the family as part of my experience with Volunteering With India. It is simply one of the best experiences you can have traveling abroad. Not only is it an authentic experience but you also get to give back and travel with a purpose. I loved every minute of it. I thought the accommodations were perfect since it is a guest house after all, you are a guest in their home so don't forget it. With that in mind lower your expectations always and you will always be pleased ! However, the family is very accommodating and look after you well. No need to hesitate to speak up though either if you need something. We stayed here as part of Volunteering in India to work with Elephants. Unfortunately it was winter in India and the rooms were freezing cold. We asked for blankets and we were given duvets that smelt awful and was thick with dust and were dirty. ||We had no hot water and the bath was filthy. ||The food was served was basic and always just tepid.
