Jee Ri Haveli — Hotel in Jodhpur

We booked 2 deluxe rooms & 2 standard rooms for 9 people in Jee Ri Haveli through MakeMyTrip for 2 nights in the first week of October. All 4 rooms were neat & clean, washrooms were also very clean. ACs and geysers were in working condition in all 4 rooms. Location of the hotel is a plus point - this is just opposite to Gulaab sagar - 3-4 min walking distance from clock tower. Autos are always available from the hotel gate. Mehrangarh fort is visible from attached shared balcony and from the roof. Rooftop restaurant is an amazing place where you can sit and enjoy your dinner and spend wonderful time with family as long as you want. Owner Mr. Himanshu and his father’s behaviour will make you feel special, always smiling faces, also very helpful, their guidance also helped us to plan for site-seeing properly. We needed a bit early check-in (at around 9 am) as we planned to check-out early (at night instead of next day 11 am) as well - and they helped us here as well. At the time of returning they arranged 3 autos at 11 pm at night as well. Now the question is why I am going with 4 star instead of 5 star - two major reasons for this - first point is food - expensive foods with below average taste. During our stay we enjoyed only dal-bati-churma, and apart from this all other preparations were just below average. Even basic preparations like mix veg etc were just rubbish, but expensive. Second point is size of the rooms - in our entire Rajasthan trip, this is the place for which we paid maximum, but unfortunately it was not worth it - even though the place was very clean and tidy, but the size of the standard rooms were extremely small with extraordinary small bathrooms. They charged 500/- per day for an extra person, but to accommodate that extra person in a room, you have to sacrifice a lot. Overall the stay was good, but it was definitely not a value for money experience. Still I would recommend this place in Jodhpur as I hope that they will work on these issues in...

If you are looking for a great view from your stay and a convenient location at an economic cost, Jee ri Haveli is perhaps the best option.

The front facing rooms of Jee ri Haveli offers a great view of Mehrangarh Fort right from the windows (Jharoka) and the balconies. The presence of Gulab Sagar Lake at the front of hotel ensures that you don't see houses obstructing your view of the fort and provide a better scenic view.

Apart from the view, it is the location of the hotel that makes it very convenient for travellers. It is at a walking distance from the clock tower (Ghanta Ghar) which is the centre of the city with all major tourist attractions located nearby. One can walk or easily get an auto to Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, and Toor ji ka Jhalra. There are several good cafes and restaurants as well as road side stalls for food and snacks, all within walking range of the hotel.

The room of the hotel where we stayed was spacious and hygienic. The attached bathroom was clean. Basic toiletries and towels were provided. The room had AC, however we hardly used it as opening the windows brought in nice fresh breeze from the nearby lake, which was very refreshing.

The hotel has a room service as well as a roof top restaurant with a great view. The cost of food in hotel is bit on the higher side, however the taste is homely and quantity is apt.

The staff are quite prompt in service and cordial. The owners of the hotel (Mr Himanshu and his father) are very warm and friendly and made sure we have a comfortable stay.

The entry to the hotel has steep stairs which may not be convenient for elders and differently abled people.

There are n number of things loveable about this place

Location - Hardly 05 minutes drive from Jodhpur station..you can even walk to the property if not carrying heavy luggage. Hotel Staff- The hospitality I recieved was way beyond my expectations. Mr. Himanshu is exceptionally polite and helpful. His entire family treated us like one of their own. View- Well well well! What can I say about the view. As soon as you come inside the room and open the balcony door you will be taken aback by the view of the pink city and the huge Mehrangarh fort. I was staying in a room where bollywood celebrities including Nikhil advani, ashish Vidyarthi have stayed. You can just lay down on the fluffy mattress at the jharokha and enjoy the never to be bored by view. Food - Food here is very very tasty and hygienic. Mr. Kishan cooks amazing handi gosht, rajasthani chicken curry and mutton biriyani. He is also very humble and polite, always available for you. Didn't eat much at the property but whatever I ate, was very nice and palatable. There is a place called Pal Haveli where you can have very nice food and liquor while enjoying an exceptional view of the city. Convenience- Property is located at a location from where you can easily go anywhere. The world famous gulab jamun of chaturbhuj sweets and rabdi ladoo of mohanji sweets is only 15 minutes of walk from the property. I rented a car for outside visits and scooter for the streets.

Overall, my stay went well beyond my expectations and I am extremely happy to stay at a place like this. I must visit again
