Sree Ganesh Prasad Lodge — Hotel in Karnataka

I had booked this hotel for 1 day, 9th October 2016 through Make My Trip. I had booked 2 AC rooms. The hotel authorities were not sure which rooms to give us.We had to change rooms twice.Check-in time is 12 noon but they didn't provide any warm water for bathing.They said that they provide warm water only in the morning from 6 to 9.The following morning warm water for bath started coming in the bathroom only at 7a.m. and we had to leave the hotel at 7:30 for our onward trip.They don't provide any drinking water.We had to purchase mineral water bottles that they had kept in a refrigerator in each room.They didn't provide any towels nor any soap.The rooms looked so messy.The rooms were dingy and had bunk beds.The TV in one room didn't function at all.In one room the AC made such noise that we had to switch it off.There was an open ventilator beside the AC in the second room. The lock of the window was missing in one room. The water from the basin overflowed from the outlet on the floor of the bathroom.The authorities were hardly bothered about any room service.This hotel is not at all suitable for family.This is the most unprofessional place that I've ever stayed.I am very...

The owner (Mr. Harsha) and the room service staff (Mr. Kumar) were very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is great, the Mysore palace and the market are within walking distance. The room had a small fridge apart from a TV and a table. The bathroom was clean with the facility to hang towels and cloths. The bathroom was clean. It was a three bedded room, the third one is like a bunk atop a double bed, but very comfortable. The mattress was not hard. Sheets were clean and so was the room. There were no cockroaches in either the room or bathroom. Payments were accepted through credit cards but no extra charges were levied for that. The room rent was including all the taxes, so the billing was very transparent. Arranged car for sightseeing without charging anything extra, rather on a price less than that quoted by independent taxi drivers.||||Did not get the WiFi connectivity for three days. Every time the manager gave one excuse after another, mainly of technical fault. The manager could have been more friendlier. The soft drinks stocked in the refrigerator was priced Re. 1 higher than M.R.P., I really did not understand the logic behind this...

We stayed at Sree Ganesh during the Dasara festival, so we realize there were not many options nor good prices available. But for what we paid, we were disgusted with the place. The bathroom was horrid on arrival and when I asked someone to clean the toilet seat, they simply sprayed some soap and water, but the deeply entrenched dirt stains remained. The shower head sprouted two measly spurts of water and bugs crawled through the tile cracks. The mattress was so thin it was like sleeping on a wooden plank and the bedsheets looked extremely old and stained. Thankfully there were no insects in the bed as said in a previous review. We also got laundry which was double the price we've seen in India and faded our clothes. All this aside, the staff weren't rude and the wifi was actually pretty good, but only near reception.
