Shree Mahalakshmi Sweets, URS Road — Restaurant in Karnataka

I visited their Devaraj urs Road branch this morning. I visit Mysore once every year and make sure i do a trip to one of the Mahalakshmi branches. I had been reading up on reviews on my most relied upon sweet store at Mysore and was saddened to notice that people have been complaining for a reason.

To begin with:

Terrible customer care.

There were 4 staff and 3 customers waiting. All four were tending to one lady they seemed pretty fascinated with while not replying to or responding to the rest of us.

Pretty certain one person per customer can do the job while I walked out and got my goodies at a competitive shop. A customer lost.

Hygiene.

The lady being tended to by all their staff was allowed to touch all the display savouries and sweets.

I feel for the person who will get served the much checked upon display savouries.

I understand there must be a system in place but if there are many customers, perhaps respond to them and tell them it may take a while or assign one person per customer. Not ignore them or be non responsively rude.

Also, no matter who, touching and checking foods is a big no no. There is a reason we chose your store...

If you are tourist and planning to take it to your loved ones , please do not prefer this brand/store.Although it tastes good they are very unethical and fraudulent people.They will keep one tray for display,once you select the varient they will give you pre packed boxes ,which is over burnt Mysore. I took 7 boxes on and all were same extra burnt,spoiled all my experience and courtesy of offering to to people I took it for.Prefer different brands like Guru, Nandini, etc but do not prefer this. Attached images, over roasted which were in pre box packs I took.But their tray were not like the one.

Not worth Trust of tourists!So don't waste your money and...

This is one of the known place for mysoreans to buy sweets, Mysore pak is the must try sweet here and even you will get badam milk here which will be very tasty , coming to rates , it is bit costly but taste will be awesome. This time I tried champakali and it is awesome . During festival time especially during dasara you will not find a place to stand ,forget about buying sweets. Bombay mixture will also be good . One good thing about mahalakshmi sweets is you will find many people who will help you to buy which sweets is good and even the staffs are also very generous 😊 all in all this is the must visit place to buy sweets if you...
