Hotel Shah International — Hotel in Kerala

We stayed here one night during our visit to my sister's house at Kollam. Below are my genuine feedback-

1. The hotel building looks posh from outside
2. We had booked 5 rooms here and they charged us 1k per room.
3. Rooms were big enough and the bed was bigger in size
4. The ambience inside the hotel rooms and the passage was not very pleasant. The wall and ceiling looked like the people who run the business are least bothered about doing the building maintenance.
5. The wall next to the lift lobby had people names written on it like how you see in the public toilets
6. We were not given blankets in any of the 5 rooms.
7. They have nice balcony in each rooms which is a plus.

So, to summarise, this place looks like it was a well run business in the past by someone who knew the business. But now it's obvious that the people currently running this are least bothered about what's needed to make the...

I with family we not to their Dhaba restaurant which is adjesent to the road ordered a Veg fried rice half Tandoori Chicken two roti a Kerala paratha and a Dragon Chicken. We were the only guest in that restaurant. I asked for some gravy for my son to have the one Kerala Paratha they said they will provide which was a good gesture. That's all the good. It took a long wait for the food to arrive the dragon chicken as far as I believe is stripes of boneless chicken coated in cornflour what was served was the pieces of chilly chicken. Thandoori chicken was good. We started our dinner there was no gravy or sause provided I looked for the waiter who was no were to be seen there were couple of staff standing near watching cricket. Shah International is a very old hotel in Kollam, they have more than 15 years of experience. I came here 10 years ago and stayed here. Above all, they are very well maintained. A lot of historical things have happened here. The room here is worth mentioning. I stayed in the special room here. It is a very comfortable room. It has been done in a four star suite style, they are maintaining it as well as the behavior of the staff here is super, the management is super, overall everything is arranged in a good way but there are few things that need to be mentioned.The thing to mention is that there is no facility to drink coffee in the hotel room, which is common even in three star level, there is no coffee powder in the coffee maker and also when we asked for an iron box, it was not provided.
