Hotel Original — Hotel in Kerala

This hotel is an absolute nightmare and one of the worst places I have ever stayed in my life. The room was filthy, tiny, and reeked of smoke and sewage. The bathroom was unhygienic with a leaking shower, no hot water, and cockroaches crawling around. The mattress and bed were in such horrible condition that the springs literally poked my back all night—disgusting smell from the pillows and mattress made it even worse. Furniture was old, broken, and looked like it was picked up from the garbage.

There was no lift, no assistant staff to even help with luggage, and no parking—we were forced to leave the car on the road. The noise of trains all night made it impossible to sleep. The room had sand and dust everywhere, and nobody bothered to clean. On top of that, there was not even a proper charging socket; I had to charge my phone using the TV socket like it was the Stone Age.

This place is a complete scam, unsafe, and unfit for human stay. Agoda should seriously reconsider listing such garbage hotels. I would never recommend anyone to even step foot in this...

I went to Hotel Original to see a room for my coworker who was looking for a place to stay for 3 nights. The reception was colourful. The person at the reception was pre-occupied in his mobile phone. I had to repeat myself thrice for him to understand my purpose to visit. He lazily sent a room boy who was shabbily clad. There was no lift service and the staircase was very old fashioned. A group of 6 of us stayed here for one night only. The rooms allocated to us was within 10 meters of railway track and we couldn’t have a peaceful sleep at night. An average of every 30 mins you experience the loud train horn which wake you up instantly. The rooms were locked by sliding bolts and padlocks from outside and from inside only door latches (less security).
