This is a heritage property with 4 double rooms and 4 single rooms, located in the old palace compound. It was a guest house for the palace guests. The temple is at 3 minutes walking Distance.
The rooms have been modernized with almost every required amenity.
But the service and maintenance lacks.
We had a suite room with 2 extra beds. There is no space in the room after putting the 2 extra bed.2 double sheets were provided with them. No covers with extra bed.
1 Towel was provided for 5 of us. On enquiring the caretaker gave us some hand towels.
The fruits kept in room were in rotting stage. The electric kettle had some stains inside, so, did not use it.
Breakfast had idli, dosa, bread and butter cooked by 2 ladies. It was one of the best homely breakfast we had on this Kerala Trip.
The caretaker at night does not understand Hindi or English.
Car parking is available.
The actual entrance to the property is another 50 meters towards the temple from the Google...

Read moreIt has very clean rooms, really comfortable bedding, and the adjoining pure veg restaurant is very homely and serves good food. The entire property is an extension of the palace, so the furniture and furnishings are very original old wood. It's very wistful and calm inside, and the owners have done a remarkable job is uplifting the interior to look authentic-Kerala plus inviting.. Overall a really good experience. I would say it's a little pricey given that it's not actually a hotel, but all things considered the stay is very comfortable. The only downside during my stay there was that the geyser did not work for some time because one of the phases of electric wiring tripped - affecting only two of the rooms - and the hotel staff didn't realise before giving the room to me. But even considering that, the staff is very courteous and more than makes up for...
