Navarathri Mandapam — Attraction in Kerala

I was totally shattered by the way they conducted the entire vidyarambam. I was born here and brought up here so I wanted my son to start his education from here Shri Ananthapadmanaabhante mannil. I took coupon worth 500₹ on October 4,2024. We (wife and myself)took fasting until the auspicious day. We went there by 7.40am to find ourselves in a very long queue that stretched to the road from the Navaratri mandapam. We waited for around 2 hours in the sun along with several others who were struggling with their kids. After getting inside really felt again that this was just money oriented because the poojari asked father to write only ഓം ഹരിഃ ശ്രീ ഗണപതയെ നമഃ and after that they took money from us. The full and original version that my father used to help me do was missing ഓം ഹരിഃ ശ്രീ ഗണപതയെ നമഃ; അവിഘ്നമസ്തു; ശ്രീ ഗുരുഭോ നമഃ"... Cons::: No seperate queue for people who are waiting with kids for vidyarambam. People who come to pray to Goddess and for children's education are in one queue. Have to stand outside for hours in the sunlight No one cares about the crowd and their thirst 500₹to stand for hours and wait without result The poojari are all money oriented Didn't even complete the entire slokam that needs to be written Comes up with a plate to give money right after incomplete proceeding.

I highly recommend the Travancore devasom to modify this irresponsible manner. And I won't recommend this place to start...

Navaratri mandapam open to public only during navaratri festival.. historically important place.. attended a concert here... Concerts happens in the evening 6-8:30... We need to be there by 5:30... We are not supposed to go out once we make an entry for concert, until it's finished with...
