Utter Disappointment – We booked a deluxe room at JC Grand via Agoda for a stay from December 30th to January 2nd, but what unfolded was beyond frustrating. This hotel operates a cunning bait-and-switch tactic, deceiving customers with polished pictures online. Upon arrival, they informed us that all rooms at JC Grand were booked and redirected us to their other property, JC Woodville Manor.

The room at JC Woodville Manor was horrendous—nothing like what was advertised. There was no view, barely any space, and the worst part was water seeping through the walls at night, making it nearly uninhabitable. With heavy rain and cold weather outside, we were left with no choice but to accept this nightmare of a room.

To make matters worse, it felt like they prioritized customers based on their "value." Foreigners and larger groups seemed to get better treatment, while we, a couple, were given a substandard room. The lack of basic amenities, like a kettle for tea, added to the misery. The only slightly redeeming factor was the relatively clean toilet and the presence of a water heater—small mercies in an otherwise disastrous stay.

We ended up spending a lot of time indoors due to the rain and fog, which only amplified how awful the room was. The experience ruined our trip entirely. I strongly urge potential guests not to be deceived by the images you see online. JC Grand and its management are not trustworthy, and their bait-and-switch tactics are shameful. Cheated through online booking They have two hotels functioning side by side namely JC Grand & JC woodwill. Manor. The second one is budget hotel. Booked and confirmation for JC Grand but they provided from JC woodwill manor. I suddenly noticed that there is a internal way between the two hotels in the backside which will not be known for new comers and they think they are staying in JC Grand. But actually they are staying in JC woodwill manor. The JC Grand intelligently take more money in the name of JC Grand but filling up budget rooms in woodwill manor. They may use JC Grand for direct booking. Those who are booking through online, plz ensure that rooms have been provided in JC Grand instead JC Woodwill Manor. I e. There was no facilities here. Not even an elevator. The elderly people had to take the staircase to reach their rooms. No room service available. I had to carry my baggage by ourselves. No packaged drinking water and news paper was provided during the stay. When asked about packaged water, I was asked to fill my water bottle from the tap which was meant for drinking purposes. But not sure if the to water was RO treated or not. Hence preferred buying water everytime. The rooms were also not cleaned nor did the management asked if the room had to be swept. Intercom number was also not available. If I wanted to enquire anything in the reception, had to go down and get things clarified. Entertainment system also was not up to the mark.
