A comfortable stay we have ever experienced... We were 8 members with 2kids stayed at Le Charmin, Kodaikanal from 23,24 & 25:July:2021... Initially we chose this home stay because of its good reviews... Its located near Kodai resort, Club mahindra stays.. Located in a good, scenic spot.. Really a superb comfortable rooms and utilitey area.. We had good fun there.. We carried all basic needed stuff along with us.. Here they were provided with Grill machine, mixie, fridge, gas stove, induction stove, micro wave oven, and all needed utensils... We had seperate dining area and utility area.. All our rooms were provided with TV, smart tv and wifi provided.. We made us experience the roof top camp fire amidst the scenic lovely view of kodai.. We paid for 1day kitchen usage.. We cooked for 1day.. But, we utilised the kitchen for tea making and for boiling mill for kids any time we wanted to.. we were not charged any extras.. They were very generous... if we stayed anywhere other than this, they would have locked kitchen and would try to make money in any loops... Owners Mr.Charles and His son Mr.Leslie was very much friendly and flexible... and the care taker boy who was available to serve us 24/7 was very humble and helpful.. Simply, we just felt like, staying in one of our family members place... This is my first ever lengthiest review... Such a secured and comfortable place.. I recommend it for a family gathering/ group of friends with family.. A worthy stay... Surely, our upcoming stays will be at...
Read moreGot to know this place from my friend, asked for a decent place who can accomodate kids and elders together even at the peak of the season. May mid week. The entire Kodaikanal was crowded and this place is very near to many tourists spots like coalkers walk, Bryant park and Kodaikanal lake. Main place you can reach by walk itself from this place. And also Leslie takes good care of the visitors, this is a home stay where you can cook yourself food and make grills and can also order home cooked foods. Please be aware that in Kodaikanal foods are bit expensive, don't go for cheaper restaurants or road side shops, the stomach gets really upset. Hence either choose know outlets or better order from home cooked foods, will look like bit costly but the quantity and quality is good. You can also request Leslie for cab assistance as the local cab or van oly gets few forest permissions even during the peak seasons as the limit the daily number tickets and also oly in specific times. The rooms were spacious and well suited for family of 10 people gathered who can share common spaces, not like strict hotel charging extra persons. One can take a diwan in the common place also to sleep. Overall it is a best place for big family, with...
Read moreWe had an excellent stay at Le Char Min. I had booked 5 rooms for 3 days and the host (Leslie) made sure that the stay was pleasent. On day 1, my kid was unwell due to sudden change in weather and we had to take the kid to the nearby hospital. Upon knowing that the kid was unwell, Leslie visited the hospital to check if things are being taken care by the doctor.
The rooms are very good, neat and clean. There is always a person at reception who is available to help us with all our requirements. Leslie was available on call through out our stay and had visited us daily to check if we are comfortable with the stay.
I have been to multiple places, stayed in different homestays, cottages, resorts & hotels and have never seen such a people friendly host. He also arranged for Bonfire and all my family members enjoyed a lot.
Leslie did not charge us for using the kitchen in his homestay and instead advised the person at reception to help us with the utensils and other items required for cooking dinner
I had a chance to meet Leslie father (Charles) and he is an amazing person. I had a very good communication with him where discussed a lot of topics.
Definately, Le Char Min will be my first choice if I am visiting...
