I had booked two rooms for two days from 8th May to 10th may. We landed in Kolkata at 10:30 pm and reached the hotel around 11:40 pm. On entering and asking for check in the manager just bluntly told us - booking toh hai but rooms available nahi hai. Then he asked if we have booked through oyo or fab, i told him fab and still he was sure that they didnât have any rooms available. I called the fabhotel customer care and he asked to speak with the person on the reception. I donât know what they spoke as he took my phone inside to speak but when he came back, he showed me a room just beside the entrance door of the hotel saying this room is available. I checked the room and it was a used room, looked like the washroom was being used by the staff as the door was unlocked already. I told him this is not a acceptable room. I called the customer care executive again and he blatantly just told me and I quote - âbut he is giving you a room right, so I cannot help youâ. I also requested the person at the reception to atleast give us one good room to stay as it was already 12 midnight and i had my mother with me. Where would i have gone at that time of the night. He was so rude in declining that request also and told me he could not do anything. Iâve stayed in Kolkata since the last 6 years but never faced such an issue.    Read moreThe worst kind of hotel you can possibly book! We booked through oyo and the rooms were confirmed by the hotel management, but upon reaching they said that we didn't have any reservation! What nonsense is this ? They were the ones who confirmed it in the first place and then upon reaching they say there is no room left? Later after some headed conversation they said we can give you the rooms but you have to pay extra money for the same rooms that were booked online? Then what's the point of booking online after price comparisons?
we contacted oyo customer service and we were told that they were trying to reach out to the hotel management but the hotel manager wasn't picking up the phone. And to my surprise after some time we overheard them saying that if a call comes from oyo just say that the ACs ain't working in 2 rooms?? What kind of CHEAP TACTIC is this?
If you don't want to roam around in the streets even after reservation then please don't book this hotel. And I'm not the only one who went through this the reviews and...

First of all the OYO price was 1.3K and i went to the hotel . They took 1 look and said they would charge 2K per/day. I did not object thinking it is fine. I want to stay nevertheless. I extended my trip for 4 hours and was hoping the hotel will charge for half day price but they took full day price. They did not provide any bill despite of me asking for it miltiple times. They did not accept card or online payment and insisted on cash payment. They did not have in-house restaurant. No complimentary breakfast. Moderately clean linen. Bathroom had some1's underwear in it which i spotted onthe last day. You may experience something better. But being a frequent visitor i wont ever stay in this hotel again. You lost 1 customer today.
