We had booked two double sharing rooms for our family of 4 after reading some good reviews. We Checked-in for an overnight stay. However we are disappointed by Hotel cosmopolitan.||Here are our observations.||1. Rooms were not cleaned before checking in, nor were they cleaned after informing staff the next morning. The room floor specifically was full of dust..... At least one round of mopping was required. We couldn't walk barefoot. ||2. Blanket (Duvets) were having dried stains. It was apparent that the duvets were used ones. No replacement was provided as the hotel was full. They were kind enough to provide extra bedsheets. Yes, we had to spend the night covering ourselves with with bed sheets, not even ordinary blankets. ||3. I am forced to use the word 'filthy' for bathroom. It was indeed bad... Sink area and commode area were not cleaned... Jet water spray at commode was rusted and was dripping water continuously..||4. The centralised AC was actually running at around 25 to 27 (approx) while the AC control screen displayed 18. The only button functioning in the AC control fixed on the wall was on/off. ||5. There was a functional TV and functional remote, but access to channels had been blocked. On calling the reception, they said they will send someone to check .... nobody came... ||6.Wifi was a facility on paper and online site only. You guessed correctly that I had to use my mobile data.||The hotel is centrally located in a good area. The rooms are spacious. If cleanliness/hygiene is maintained, this could actually be a good place to stay.||Suggestion to - please install ceiling fans in the rooms. A fan in the room would actually help contain external noise in hotel such as neighbouring doors banging shut, furniture being dragged on the room above, other guest shouting in the corridor etc., which kept us awake through the night.||We missed the complementary breakfast since we had to leave on a trip at 7:00 a.m. while the breakfast started at 7:30 a.m. However the reception guy was kind enough to arrange coffee for us. This was the only saving grace at the end of...
Read moreMy experience at this hotel was unfortunately marred by several significant issues. Firstly, despite booking an AC banquet hall, the air conditioning system was not functioning properly, leading to discomfort for myself and my guests. When we brought this issue to the attention of the hotel staff, there was a lack of response and the matter was not adequately addressed. This lack of accountability and customer service was highly disappointing.
Furthermore, when attempting to escalate the issue to the front office manager, I encountered a change in demeanor that was concerning. Initially welcoming, the manager's attitude shifted drastically once the problems arose, leading to a tense and unproductive interaction. This unprofessional behavior only added to the frustration of the situation.
Finally, the situation escalated to the point where law enforcement [Police] had to intervene. However, despite the initial difficulties, the matter was ultimately resolved positively from our end. Nevertheless, this entire experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I would caution others against booking events or accommodations at this hotel.
Overall, my experience at this hotel was extremely...
Read moreWe visited this hotel 5 years ago and even now the ambience or the attitude or the infrastructure remains the same like a road side inn.... The only advantage is its location very close to the railway station platform. the room door locks are flimsy. The Bathroom door didnt close and we had to change the room . Remember that the western toilet is too high for the normal person. they say the 🚽 in all the rooms are like that only and elderly has ask for a foot stool to assist them. The room service starts by 7. 30 am only and no chance of bed coffee. You have to walk across the street to get coffee. There was no coffee making provision in the room also..Is it to due to the MMT offer? For us the mood was dull and depressive. TV channels were not working and had to call the technician. To conclude I would recommend it only for the solo business traveller and definitely not for a family with kids. Just walk in and walk out..have food and fun outside and drop down to sleep.. Dont stay for more than couple of days and that's what the hotel also...
