Review: Worst Experience - Do Not Recommend

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, and I strongly advise future guests to avoid it. The moment I entered the room, I noticed it was infested with cockroaches, which made for an extremely uncomfortable stay. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, with visible grime and dirt, indicating a severe lack of hygiene standards.

Adding to the frustration, the receptionist was highly unprofessional. Their attitude was dismissive, and they showed no concern for guest satisfaction or resolving the issues. The customer service was lacking, which only worsened the overall experience.

I highly suggest avoiding this place if you're considering booking a stay. If this is your first experience, it may ruin your impression of the hotel altogether. Definitely not recommended.

In my opinion, MakeMyTrip, Agoda, and Booking.com should reconsider listing hotels like the one I recently stayed at. The poor hygiene, unprofessional staff, and overall terrible service not only create a bad experience for guests but also tarnish the reputation of these trusted booking platforms.

By continuing to list such subpar accommodations, these platforms risk losing the trust of loyal customers. I hope they take the necessary steps to vet properties more thoroughly to prevent future travelers from going through the same awful experience. For the sake of maintaining their reputation, hotels with such low standards should be removed.

This hotel is close to the west gopuram of Madurai Meenakshi temple, walkable distance, just 200mtrs. Railway station is around 1km away and Autorikshwas can be availed for 100+/- rupees. It is an ideal stay for the devotees who come for the darsan at Meenakshi temple. Not a luxury stay, but ok for the devotees for 1 or 2 days stay, that's all. Limitations are there as the hotel is in a conjested area and old building. Rooms are spacious and safe for family accommodations. Beds are wider, can easily accommodate two in a single bed. Windows, curtains and interiors are average. Quality and neatness of the bed linen to be improved. A/C and fans are working ok. Bathrooms are with old fittings. Hot water is available. We will have a good view of the temple and towers from the terrace of the hotel.

Reception counter support is good. They did arrange a taxi for our local visits with a good driver and comfortable rate. For food, so many veg hotels are nearby, just have a walk around to find out or use Uber auto/taxi service to reach the identified hotels. Special alert: Beware of the stray dogs in the streets. It seems very innocents, but offensive without any provocation. I personally faced first time in my life.

Man, if I could I would've given this place zero stars. The photos online are just a muse to lure in the customer. The rooms are nothing like that in reality...

The location is fine, but the servicability sucks. There is no regard for cleanliness. I was quite annoyed to say the less because this stay is not worth the price. When we checked in, the receptionist was showing attitude as if doing a favor...I mean..what the hell? We were conversing in English...but he would randomly cut off and aggresively speak in Tamil with his staff members. It seemed as if the staff was mocking us for speaking hindi. We had originally booked a family suite which looked collosal in the pictures...turns out it was the most below average room, not worth the money. The receptionist gave us option for two separate rooms which cost us another 4000 rupees. I literally found a dead bug upon check in...I was already disgusted by the place.

However my tipping point came when I found LITERAL HUMAN FECES lying behind the toilet. I was disgusted beyond comprehension. Also... cockroaches and dead bugs are frequent visitors

So, in all... don't book this hotel. It's a waste of time and money.
