AYUSH YADAV 5/5 a week ago on Google The stay was overall really good. Location-wise very convenient and the staff members were very good too. Just one small area of improvement could be the occasional irregularity in the hot water availability. But the hotel members were happy to acknowledge and help always. Thank you Pegasus for a very good stay. Rooms5.0Service5.0Location5.0

We travelled as a family with two kids and booked a Premium Room at Hotel Pegasus Crown directly through their website. This is a budget-friendly hotel located in the heart of Police Bazaar — a prime location in Shillong — surrounded by plenty of dining options and local shops for handicrafts and souvenirs. While the central location is convenient, it also comes with a few downsides.
Positives:
Excellent Location: Located centrally in Police Bazaar, with a wide variety of restaurants and shops within walking distance — very convenient for families and tourists.
Reasonably Priced: The hotel is budget-friendly, and booking directly through their website offered better pricing.
Quick Check-in/Check-out: The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient.
Family-Friendly Support: Extra cot/bedding was provided promptly upon request, which helped accommodate our kids comfortably.
Connectivity: Wi-Fi speed was decent, and the TV allowed access to multiple OTT platforms, which was a plus for downtime.
Negatives:
Noise at Night: Being in a central location means there’s a lot of street noise at night. We also noticed some questionable activity in the surrounding area, which might be concerning for some families.
Lack of Storage: The room had no wardrobe, closet, hangers, or even hooks in the bathroom — which made organizing clothes and luggage difficult.
No Luggage Stand: There was no stand or rack to keep suitcases, so we had to manage everything on the floor.
Housekeeping Policy Not Communicated: Rooms are only cleaned if you hand over the keys before leaving for the day — which is fine, but this wasn’t communicated at check-in.
Basic Breakfast: The buffet breakfast was very minimal and often served quite late — not ideal if you’re heading out early for sightseeing.
Parking Challenges: Parking space is very limited, and the narrow road outside makes it difficult for cabs to stop or wait in front of the hotel.
Overall Verdict:
Hotel Pegasus Crown is a decent budget option for short stays if you want to be in the middle of the action and don’t mind the late-night noise. It’s best suited for travelers who prioritize location over comfort and amenities. Some improvements in communication and room facilities would make this a better choice...
Read moreExorbitant room price for basic services. We were three of us staying in room 205. To begin with, the bathroom floor didn't have proper slope thereby unable to drain water; everytime after use, the floor had to be wiped off manually to drain the water. Complaint was raised and God knows if it has been attended till date. We had booked for 03, got a room for 02 with one extra bed laid beside the queen size bed basically cutting all the room space out. Complimentary breakfast was normal, nothing exotic for the charged price. The male receptionist seemed to be rude & reluctant to help. For this price range, hotel should on their own provide dental kits, slippers as bare minimum. This was not the case. The male receptionist said that these were provided only on being asked. They are charging only for location. Location is good since it is located in police bazaar where you will get everything, do not expect any enchanting view from the hotel rooms. The window in the room had improper sealing as well inviting cold air into the room. And when you inquire for a room heater, they say they charge you extra for it. Everything you get is very basic. It will burn a hole in your pocket. The least they could do is show some grace & respect to the customers; on the contrary it felt as if they were doing some kind of charity by letting us stay. Really displeased with the overall experience in the hotel. Note: The Flare restaurant of the hotel has it written in its menu that if you want to book a thali for dinner, it has to be done withing 8 pm. But some of the waiters follow it an some don't. Some accept order for thali within 8 pm and some say that order for thali will not be accepted after 7:30 pm (as per their own whim and against the menu).
Once you get to the hotel and stay for a while, you will understand that you have wasted your hard earned money on it as the staff will do whatever they want irrespective of what your needs and basic...
