Food was very good(This was my review with 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️2 months ago) Unfortunately things have changed.Everyone has a personal reason/choice/ preference to go for a buffet. My reason to go here is for the Salmon.
As soon as i entered i noticed the raw salmon kept on display for customers to pick. It was a maximum of 5 slice. When i am not hungry i can eat about 20slices. If i am hungry and i have specially come for salmon, you can keep bringing them.
Not to interrupt my flow i requested the sushi bar staff to place a bigger chunk as thats the only item i want to eat. He took out a couple of more pieces. I emptied the plate and was expecting the staff to refill the display. He refilled it with another 2-3 pcs. I again explained him that this is the only item i will eat so please display more. His reply “ sir manna nahi kar raha hu aapko”
Later i see the sushi bar and the manager talking. When i reached for my refill, there is no salmon and he is showing me frozen salmon and requesting i have to wait.
I wanted to pay my bill and leave. Before leaving i wanted to talk to the manger and share my experience. Managers name is Tenzil, when i started sharing my experience, before i could finish his reply was “SIR ITS NOT FAIR THAT YOUR EATING ONLY SALMON, THATS NOT HOW BUFFET WORKS THERE ARE OTHER ITEMS YOU CAN EAT”
This comment passed by the manager and scheme of the manager along with the sushi bar staff to hide the salmon WAS VERY CHEAP!
To the higher management and owner of this place. Manager Tenzil has to be replaced immediately. Apart from the sad experience there is something seriously wrong with him. Please check camera, he keeps touching me and explaining. When it happened first time i asked him to stop but seems like that is his style. Since he is big does that give him the right to man-handle his customers?? Why does he have to hold my hand and talk to me. When it happened the 2nd time (next to main door) he was not even sorry, he was looking at me like “whats the big deal”. I dont like anyone touching me but this cannot be a accepted by global fusion.
Those reading this and want to visit the place please be very careful as they will try to cheat you in every possible way. As drink i asked for pepsi. A flat Pepsi was given i had to ask them to replaCe it. I think their heart broke when they had to open a new bottle.
All details mentioned above will be recorded in their cctv.
Here is a question for you- do you expect only those kind of customers to come and dinein that are their for a celebration or a family evening?
Cause it seems like you guys dont know how to manage a customer if they have come for their quick lunch break.
Please visit Bandra branch its way better in terms of Ambiance, Food.
Mr. Tenzil , its customers choice what he wants to eat you should not create scheme. Its very cheap.
To Owner, If you think salmon is an issue, instead to teaching cheap schemes to you staff. Make a rule that only 1 plate allowed per customer.
I will...
Read moreOn a Thursday when there is not much crowd this place seems pretty disorganised. With less turnover of customers firstly the restaurant appears overstaffed.
In spite of so many staff there there is no attention to detail. The staff members are busy chatting amongst themselves. Even the kitchen staff and service staff are just socialising and not paying any attention to the customers.
I had to make 3 trips to the buffet counter to remind them that the prawns tempura is over and needs to be replenished. Once done they could have offered the same to my table considering some sort of service recovery. Instead I had to take a 4 th trip to fetch the same for myself. The prawns tempura was not seasoned at all and was bland and tasteless. The same was conveyed to the chef via the manager who went to the kitchen and got us some freshly made ones. Exactly the same. No seasoning at all. Same with the chicken wings too.
The dinner buffet was completely misplaced. None of the dishes wee placed as per the placquards which named the dishes. There was a complete mix up of names and dishes. There were prawns and clams placed where the menu was indicated as yellow dal/ dal makhani. The same for almost 80%of the menu on the buffet counter. None of the staff were interested in any customers. Or even rectifying the same once it was pointed out.
The started ordered wee all mixed up and wrongly delivered to the table. The starters we ordered never came and the ones we ordered landed up on another table. Once both of us on adjacent tables realised that we were server each other's orders the restaurant staff did not even bother to rectify this mistake. We had to get up ourselves and exchange the dishes ourselves. It was like a self service canteen. Not a fine dining restaurant.
The place is simply chaotic when it's full to capacity. But didn't expect it to fall apart when the turnover was slow. The service had always been questionable in this outlet. However this time the food also was a let down. Would hardly consider visiting again. Utter nonsense for the price we pay. No value for money.
Same was conveyed to the so called manager who just listened and said things will be better the next time we visit. Wich seems very unlikely. Your manager should have given us a discount atleast considering the lapses that were pointed out. But we were wrongly charged for 2 glasses of wine while we consumed only 1.
Your service staff need some sort of training in atleast being able to say sushi correctly. Very amusing to hear them say susi which does not do any justice to the calibre this restaurant used to be. Would like to know what my detailed feedback is going to fetch me in terms of value added services or what service recovery would be initiated to win back a regular visiting customer. Almost a extinct species from this...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this place.
I visited Global fusion on a Friday and it was just spectacular. It is a very spacious property with a all time buffet concept. And trust me, IT'S WORTH THE MONEY.
MONEY- I've been to many buffet places, this place has to be the highest in the VALUE FOR MONEY department. I paid Rs. 720/- for this whooping, huge buffet.
FOOD- Global fusion gives you a wide range items from Indian, Chinese and Japanese cuisines.
To start with, they have an unlimited serving of fresh lime soda, lemon ice tea and soft drinks, which help you stuff your tummy with all that food.
They have more than 40-45 starters to begin with. Various kinds of vegetarian dishes, many kinds of chickens, fishes, prawns, dim sums, etc. They have 4 types of soups, They also have a separate table for starter sides for the soup. The best part that I loved about Global fusion is you don't have to fill you plate up a hundred times to try everything. All you have to do is have a look at the item kept on the starter table, if you like it, pick up the coupon with its name. Take coupons of all the starters that you like and then give it to your helper. Then he/she will serve you one serving of the asked starter. Which is just perfect for someone like me who tries everything that there. laughs
Plus, They had a huge separate counter for Sushi, which I do not eat. But have heard great words about them. They even had a small selection of vegetarian sushi, for all our vegetation friends.
I could see a wide range of main course dishes, but I go to buffets just for starters and desserts, hence can't comment on the main course.
The Desserts were delicious. Another thing that I absolutely loved about global fusion is that they had bite size desserts, so that you can Taste everything. From brownies, fudges, cakes, mousse, chocolate drops to cham cham, gulab jamun, moong dal halwa, milk cake, mawa roll, etc. But my fav has to be that very fresh and excellently made Macaroons. They were soo good, I just couldn't stop.
Another great thing was the ice cream counter. They basically had a few flavours of Baskin Robbin's ice creams, but the I've cream was soo fresh that it tasted a thousand times better than how they taste at Baskin Robbin's outlets.
My the end I was soo full, so I asked if they had any tea. Turns out they had my fav, freshly made Jasmine green tea. Loved it soo much. N that's the reason I could get up n leave my table even after being soo full😂...
All in all, one of the best buffets I've had. Must spend your money on such a luxury once in a while, but be sure to go there...
