I needed a place for less than 10 hours in Mumbai. And after scouting for many hotels, I ended up booking this one. The major purpose for booking this hotel was due to its proximity to the international airport. The heavily congested traffic in the locality is something you should take into consideration while booking this hotel. It took about 45 minutes to reach the hotel from the international terminal while the hotel claims its location being ten minutes away from it. Even while leaving to the airport at midnight, this locality was busy like rush hour. Upon reaching the hotel, their staff helped me with the luggage while heading to the Front Desk. The check-in process took a couple of minutes. After completing it, I reached the Deluxe room I had booked for my stay. My room was on the second floor of the hotel. The room seemed spacious and comfortable for two people. It was clean and maintained very well. For someone who was looking for a place for a few hours or a short stay, this seemed like a decent choice. I didn't get to sleep overnight, but I found the mattress and pillows very comfy. The room had electrical sockets for different pin configurations. The minibar had snacks and refreshments in the room at reasonable prices. There was a kettle, tea/coffee packets available to brew a hot cup of your choice. There was a desk you could use to get your work done. Another interesting thing I'd like to add is the fact that the tap water available in the room is perfectly potable! This is something I haven't seen in hotels for a long time. I was still offered two complimentary water bottles during my stay. The bathroom was sparkling clean, and the water quality was great. There was hot water available throughout my stay, and I liked the shampoo and moisturizer that were part of the toiletries. There was enough storage space to store my belongings. There was a closet equipped with a safe to store your valuables. The hotel also offered Room Service. I placed an order for a few Tandoori rotis and Dal Fry for my meal. The Dal Fry was good, but the rotis disappointed me. By the time it reached my room, it was stale and difficult to eat. I wish there were wheat options for the rotis. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to bring some earplugs with you. The traffic noise can get to you after a while. I hope the hotel looks into it, and have the windows sealed properly or have whatever that's causing the noise leak fixed. You could try requesting for a quieter room while checking in. The service offered by the team at the hotel was courteous. From the Front Desk to the Room Service, everyone I encountered was hospitable. The entire property is managed very well and looks elegant. The elevator looked impressive, with warm lights and mirrors. The pricing of the room was reasonable or even cheap if you consider the other hotels with exorbitant prices near the International airport. All in all, I was very happy with the room, but the location of this hotel and the few setbacks that I experienced makes me rethink to recommend this hotel. If your primary goal is to spend a few hours of transit or a short stay without minding anything else like the location or the traffic, you can consider checking this hotel out.

My search was simple. Google made it easier. A hotel room in Mumbai, close to the airport and easy access to the Jio World convention centre where I had to attend a function. My budget between Rs.5000 to Rs.7000 per day. That is how I found Hotel Beacon (thanks to Google) on Andheri Kurla Road just 10 minutes from the airport. Be prepared for a 2.00 p.m. check in and book you flight accordingly. The friendly staff eased you into the documentation and payments prior to allocating your room. The spacious room had a working table for working on your laptop or tablet. The light in the bathroom mirror could have been brighter for a faster shave. This hotel was catered to by NAAZ with a full-fledged menu to choose from. I played it light and opted out of the Buffet breakfast and went for a mid-morning ‘ Meatball Soup” instead. I did not have any high expectations but I must say I was blown away by the soup. The meatballs were juicy, floating in a clear broth of chopped greens. I enjoyed every meatball along with spoonfuls of broth. The staff at the reception were very helpful and efficient. My special mention for the helpful service of Mr. Anwar the security. He went out of the way, in spite of thundering Mumbai monsoon rains. This hotel definitely has the quality standards for the price it offers. It can scale up its service standards even more. A great location. Just be prepared for a 2.00 p.m check-in and you won't be disappointed. Especially in the Mumbai monsoons. I'll be back, for sure.

DO NOT FALL FOR THE FAKE REVIEWS!! Save that money and goto hostel instead. This place is filthy and I don’t wish this torture on my enemy. The bathroom should have had hazardous sign outside. Flush accessory broken, curtains filthy check pics for details. AC doesn’t work and lot of BLACK MOLD , picture evidence The safe lock , doesn’t work. Video evidence. WiFi didn’t work, the front desk Trupti K said “you should read news” coz I didn’t know about WiFi situation. Apologies for not keeping up with local news coz I don’t live in Mumbai. Manager Vijendra P has no authority and no sense of customer service at all. They came with two food wrappers and made me pay for it. I paid for the breakfast when booking the worst breakfast in Mumbai hotel yet. The staff member told me it’s “complimentary” . How is something complimentary when you pay for it? Claiming we have food stocks, they just didn’t have soap stocked. In justification, 4 of the staff members tried defending using same soap to wash hands and body! You can’t book directly , so if you ask for refund they will redirect you to the company where you book. So basically best scam running health hazardous place with no liability.

Good rooms including bathrooms. Budget friendly than other places. Stayed here twice, will stay again.

Landmark: Tell the driver Petrol bunk jerimerri it will be easy. From petrol bunk if you come forward the hotel is just 300m away.

Definitely recommend for visitors and people going to visa interviews.

Excellent staff, especially the manager vijender, and front desk nikhat, tabshir accomidated all my request and doing the needful. One request they couldn't and are improving is internet speed as that will help working employees visiting from other places.

Auto from airport 100-120rs. Auto to consulate 60rs if metered, 80 without meter, maximum 100 rs if you can't bargain.

Pros: 20 to 30 mins from domestic airport and us consulate. International airport is lot closer. Good rooms and washroom. Sops, shampoo, brush, body lotion, shower cap, comb, towel and other ammenities provided Snack and drink in refrigerator provided with little premium pricing. Restaurant is attached to hotel and has late night options along with room delivery. Complimentary breakfast buffet is good. Allows slightly late chek out whenever possible. Front desk gives printouts if emailed Has TV Has fridge Has hair dryer on request. They told they have 110V socket not sure where they are Does say wired internet. Good bed for sleeping Saves environment by giving option of skipping house cleaning and does it every alternative day. US consulate is 20 mins from this place. International airport is very close. Laundry pick up from room is available Western style and bathroom has both hand shower and normal shower Hot water available continuous both in washbasin and shower. Eco friendly soaps. Gives two complementary water bottle Gives kettle and assorted tea. Nice elevator. Staff was accommodating in letting me see the rooms and pick the room i want. We get discount in the restaurant.

Cons: Swing option in AC doesn't work. Not a big con. Wifi connection is good but speed is 5mbps, good for watching videos in YouTube. The management is working on it as i complained and they assured it would be fixed soon. This is because on my first visit the connection was bad, i have complained and they fixed it. Food is slightly expensive but tasty, and there aren't many good and better restaurants in jerri merri. Tv doesn't have English channels. Doesn't have maharastrian dishes on menu such as misal pav, vada pav etc. They give only two wifi passwords but i think they give nore upon request. Refrigerator noise is loud on my second visit, room service was accommodating in turning it off. Doesn't have rewards program for frequent visitors. Restaurant has less vegetarian options. They have good amount not compared to Non vegetarian.

Conclusion: Decent place to freshen up and sleep. Definitely not a place to stay and work. If they fix the wifi, then i think it will be awesome place and will...
