I had visited the Tamil Nadu House mainly for the cafe that is there inside to taste the food there like I have been doing for the other state Bhawans

Overall, it was a good experience

TN Bhawan - Well maintained and spacious. The atmosphere inside is good with positive vibes. They have guest rooms too that can be booked online or telephonically

TN Bhawan Cafe- The cafe is good too serving variety of a South Indian Food. But I will rate the quality / taste at 3.5 to 4 🌟 only Lots of scope for improvement on this front

Budget accomodation for state government employees of Tamil nadu. The name suggests all. It is old in construction compared to the new tamil nadu bhavan which is classy, elegant and ultra modern. The food provided is good but not upto the mark as compared to the new tamil nadu bhavan. Its locational advantage is that it is only 10 min from the chanakyapuri police station bus stop. There are local kirana shops just in the next lane where one can get basic things. The room was extra clean as room service was prompt and deserves full stars. I'm just writing about the Tamil Nadu House's canteen here. First of all, the canteen is only for the residents of the guest house and not for general public, unlike the gujrat bhawan canteen in the adjoining building. Now for the food here, well it's like one of the best places for freshly made, authentic South indian cuisine offered as buffet. The filter coffee is awesome. Very very neat and hygienic surroundings. Overall ambience is ok but who gives a damn to it when it's the food that really matters and these guys know their food, really really well.
