Bonne Chance Heritage Residence — Hotel in Puducherry

Stayed at this Hotel and was impressed with the overall experience. The room quality was good, spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with good linens that ensured a restful night’s sleep. The room also featured decent decor, making it feel both stylish and cozy. The bathroom was clean and hot water was available 24 hours. Hotel provided basic toiletries and towels. Room had AC, TV and remote controlled ceiling fan. Mineral bottle water was provided. Did not opt for food as the location had many eateries to explore. Did not opt for parking as had travelled through public transport. Options like Shared auto, Auto, rental bikes available near hotel for local commute. Sunday Market was highlight to feel the local vibes. Closer to all major sightseeing. Pros:- Good and affordable stay in Pondicherry. Helped in arranging two-wheeler rentals which was a plus point. Private basement parking is provided by the hotel, even though the space is less & also slightly congested. Good South Indian box breakfast provided. (Which was there in the package). Try to give a coffee along with breakfast which will improve the quality of service provided. (Suggestion)

Areas of improvement:- Room cleaning and other services should improve as we stayed there for two days and no one came to clean the room on the 2nd day. Should provide sufficient toiletries. We were a family with one small kid. Only given a small soap & one toothbrush. (On the 3rd day given another soap on request & this was taken directly from the reception) Try to include hair shampoo in the toiletries.

The hotel is located in a prime area—almost everything is nearby. If you're a travel enthusiast, you can easily explore White Town, the French Colony, Rock Beach, and the city center on foot. There's no real need to rent a bike unless you're planning to visit Serenity Beach or locations outside White Town.

The hotel itself is good, and the staff are very polite and friendly. They offer a shared fridge for all guests near the reception area. Although they don’t have an in-house kitchen, they do provide food by arranging it from outside, including the complimentary breakfast.

They also have designated parking spaces for both bikes and cars, which is definitely a plus. The only drawback I noticed was the entrance passage—you need to pass through the parking area to reach the reception, and the lift is accessible only from there. This could have been...
