So many miles away from France, in a totally different continent... if you want to taste the delicious and authentic crêpes, this is the place that you SHOULD NOT miss!
Location: Located on MG road, one of the prime locations in Pondicherry, is this cozy crêperie. One of the easiest ways to spot this café is to look out for boutique “Ma Pondi Chérie” which is located at the same place.
Food: The place serves the BEST crêpes in town. This was my second visit and I have tried atleast 3 crêpes until now, all of them are completely inexplicable and exotic, as if exported right from Bretagne in France! They are well cooked with a complete blend of taste and completely authentic! I have tried Saint-Malo, Pondi Brest and Groix and they were absolutely mouthwatering and flavourful. No wonder the chef of this crêperie is French herself and cooks the dishes with great pleasure! Apart from their crêpes, their fruit salad is good too. The juices are made up of fresh fruits and the desserts are heavenly. We had a chance to chat with the owners of the café and the chef and it was a complete warm welcome, I must say.
Service: Service is quick, excellent and everyone who visits the café is well-attended.

Read moreCrêpe in Touch has been around in Pondicherry for the better part of a decade, at least. It’s always a lovely experience to head there for a crêpe breakfast, as I did this morning.
Run by a small team, the crêpes are made with buckwheat and are quite good. I recommend this place to all my guests—especially for breakfast—as it usually isn’t too crowded, and the breakfast combo has everything you need: a crêpe, a glass of juice, and a cup of tea or coffee, whatever you prefer.
The only small issue I have is that the place can be a bit messy. I had to try three different tables and seating arrangements before I found a spot that was well-lit and comfortable enough. They could definitely be a bit more organised and clear tables more promptly after guests leave. But these are just minor details—and maybe I’m someone who nitpicks a little more than most.
All in all, I do think this business makes a worthy effort. It’s one of only two crêpe-centric restaurants in town—the other one is much newer and I haven’t tried it yet. I’d like to encourage this little venture and truly wish them the very best. Small improvements can certainly be made, but I still think this is an experience tourists should have. After all, savoury crêpes aren’t commonly available in most...
