We went here for Dinner. Items ordered: 1. Mr. Veg (Pizza) 2. Corn Veg Pizza 3. Bruschetta 4. Grilled Chicken (African) 5. Hibiscus and Lime Kajimba (Pondicherry’s local soda) 6. Aam Panna The pizzas were extremely well-made. Had a great cheese pull and was delicious too. Coming to the bruschetta, which wasn’t par with the expectations we had, but was still better on taste. (You shouldn’t expect the classic bruschetta prep here) The grilled chicken (African style) was delicious. We had grilled veggies, fries, and herbed rice on the side. It was the finest item of the whole. Kajimba is a soda that originates in Puducherry and is primarily a ginger ale. The flavours included: Aprajita, Hibiscus, Lime, Cinnamon. We tried hibiscus and lime, and they were very unique, had a distinct taste, and very less calories. Our service was entirely handled by Deepak, and he was very polite, explained the details of the dishes, and gave us the right suggestions as well. Extremely recommend this place to anyone who is maybe looking to explore the same items as we did.

Upon stumbling across Cafe Xstasi on social media, I was eager to see if it lived up to the hype. The online presence and the beautiful food pictures had set high expectations, but my visit left me somewhat disappointed. Let's start with the pizza, a dish that seems to be a major attraction according to the cafe's online presence. To be honest, I found it to be rather average. The taste and quality of the pizza didn't match the extravagant praise it had received on social media. It felt as if the online buzz had oversold the culinary experience. While the presentation was good, the taste was simply not as exceptional as I had anticipated. Another aspect that dampened my experience was the service. The staff at Cafe Xstasi seemed rather slow in responding to customer needs. It took longer than expected to place our orders and receive our food. This sluggish service made the overall dining experience less enjoyable, as we had to wait longer than we would have liked. In summary, my visit to Cafe Xstasi was somewhat underwhelming. The pizza, which had been glorified online, turned out to be average at best, and the service left much to be desired. While the cafe has its charms, I couldn't help but feel that it didn't live up to the overhyped expectations I had gathered from social media. Perhaps it was an off day, but my experience left me with a sense of unmet potential.

The first time i visited this cafe/pizza joint was back in 2014. At that time it was the buzz of the town and i really enjoyed their huge sized and well topped pizzas. With time their quality and service has declined multiple folds. I visited it again in 2018 and ordered for a chicken pizza , garlic bread and beers. The beers were served directly (bottle) and no glasses were provided. We had to ask for glasses. The garlic bread arrived in 20 mins or so, we kept our calm as we knew it would taste good. But to our dismay the garlic bread had not taste of garlic to it and was somewhat mushy. We kept our hopes for the infamous pizza but it was nowhere to be seen. I saw foreigners coming in and placing an order much after us and recieving their pizzas. After about an hour i asked the manager as to if we were going to be served or not and he says "please have patience, you have only placed and order half an hour ago". This was when i got really annoyed and asked him to show me the bill, when he checked for the bill on their system he realized that it was already an hour past. We cancelled our pizza order, paid for the garlic bread, beers and left. Since then i decided never to visit this place again.

**Xtasy Cafe Review** Located on Mission Street in White Town, Pondicherry, Xtasy Cafe offers a mixed bag of experiences. The cafe’s ambience is undeniably charming, creating a welcoming atmosphere that is both cozy and aesthetically pleasing. The decor is well-thought-out, providing a perfect setting for a casual hangout or a relaxed meal. However, the service at Xtasy Cafe leaves much to be desired. The wait times are notably long, which can be quite frustrating, especially when the cafe is busy. This aspect significantly detracts from the overall dining experience. On the bright side, the food quality is commendable. The menu features a variety of dishes that are both delicious and well-prepared. A highlight is the pizza, which boasts excellent flavors. However, the thin crust can become too dry quite quickly, which might not suit everyone’s preference. Despite this minor flaw, the food generally maintains a high standard. In summary, Xtasy Cafe is a great spot for those who value a good ambience and quality food. However, be prepared for slow service and consider opting for items other than the thin-crust pizza if you prefer a more moist base.

Had the chance to visit Cafe Xtasi during our recent trip to Pondicherry and decided to try their 12" Mr.Veg Pizza and a vegetable roll. The flavors were spot on! The pizza had a delightful taste that tickled our taste buds, and the vegetable roll complemented it well. However, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The ambiance felt like a basic local food joint, lacking the French-inspired aesthetics one would expect given its name. More notably, the restaurant was noticeably understaffed, which unfortunately affected the service. The waiting time was long, and the overall service lacked the warmth and delight we were hoping for. For pizza lovers familiar with the thick crusts of Domino's or Pizza Hut, be prepared for a different culinary experience of woodfired thin crust here. It's worth noting, though, that an open mind could lead to a delightful discovery. In summation, while the food was a definite highlight, the ambiance and service need refinement. I hope the management takes heed and makes the necessary adjustments for future patrons.

Let's talk about the food - had their Chicken 65 Pizza and plain ginger ale. Both the dishes were bloody brilliant. The crust of the pizza was not to my liking - cardboard thin, but it wasn't a major complaint. I genuinely felt it was a tasty pizza and the cheese was great. I've tried a few wood fried pizzas around pondi, but this is right on top. Would recommend for the food. The plain ginger ale is fermented right at Auroville and I frankly loved the drink. Goes by the name Kajimba and would definitely recommend it. I only visited the ground floor, but the dim lighting and the oldish feeling walls didn't really feel very appealing. Service was a bit of a mess - could notice that the orders were being confused and the waiters were debating who this pizza belonged to. Not a very reassuring sign. Most of the beverages were unavailable - and the weekend was just getting started. Lot of scope to improve.
