Good clean hotel at a good location but... (Read till the end)
Amenities : The room is adequately sized and well furnished. The room and bathroom is clean. We were 3 people staying in the room, all 3 of us were provided with seperate cots. The beds were soft, bedsheets, towels and blankets were clean. Apart from the usual soap shampoo, they provided us with complementary toothbrush and toothpaste. TV was functional and all the channels we wanted to watch were already subscribed. The rooms had mosquito nets on their windows and mosquito replellents are also provided. Room service is provided for all food items from their in house restaurant, menu card for the same is kept in the room. No lift for higher floors.
Location : Bang opposite Wilson garden. At a walkable distance from station and the bus depot, yet it is far from the hustle bustle of the street. So you will get a good night's sleep without any disturbance. Auto stand is nearby. We had a lot of luggage with us, so an auto dropped us to the station for Rs 30. Both vegetarian and non veg restaurants are available nearby.
Pricing : A bit on the higher side but the hotel is well maintained. We were charged Rs 2250 (Non AC) for 3 persons.
Complimentary Breakfast : They had several vegetarian food options for the complementary breakfast ranging from poha, medu wada, hakka noodles, aloo paratha to fruits. All the items were delicious, good quality and unlimited. They were personally calling all guests to come to the common hall for breakfast. I am attaching a representative breakfast photo.
Wifi : Free Wifi is provided by the hotel but it didnt connect well despite trying multiple times. Later on it connected for 3 mins, then it was gone for good. Since we were there for only one day we left it at that.
BUT Please don't leave any VALUABLES in your room and go out because they enter your room in your absence( needless to say without your prior permission) under the pretext of cleaning the room( which in our case they didn't by the way...just changed the curtains which again we didn't ask for). When confronted, the first thing the manager asked us was how we realized they were there in our room..?! According to the manager, this is the standard practice followed by all star hotels and it is only in a lodge you can expect people not entering your room in your absence. If you have been as ignorant as me, maybe we both learnt today that staying in a nearby lodge is probably better if you value privacy. Needless to say being a woman, I am alarmed! Problem is not in wanting to clean your guests' room when they are out but in doing so without informing in advance.
All in all, had a pleasant stay but the entering the room in our absence episode left a bitter taste in my mouth. I normally recommend (or not recommend) hotels based on my experience. In this case I leave it up to you to decide based on your priorities and...
Read moreWe booked the room for single night 15th May to 16th May. As confirmed and mentioned on the booking details it was 24hrs check-in and check-out. But it's a scam! The moment we reached the hotel on 15th May, 5AM and asked for check-in, the receptionist very arrogantly replied "There are no rooms available, cancel the booking and go find another place to stay, or come back at 12PM" I replied, we came a long way and need to rest and it's clearly mentioned here that there is 24hr check-in option available, but the person was least interested and said "I can't help, you must understand that there are no rooms available and I don't believe in ONLINE BOOKINGS, there is no such booking we have." He asked me to call on the hotel owner's number which I had received after the booking, where I tried, but it was not reachable, Funny! It was the same number on which I spoke earlier and have asked for the confirmation after I had made the advance payment, but now it was unavailable. I said, as there are no rooms available then it's your responsibility to accomodate us as I have made the advance payments and have a receipt too. While the argument he called the owner on his different number, which he could do earlier also but he didn't. He spoke to his owner about the matter, after the call he immediately made 2 rooms available for us. Then I made the full payment and we got the rooms available. Here I'm clearly disappointed by the behaviour of the receptionist he was very very arrogant and least interested. Sorry to say but this hotel don't care for their guest, even after seeing we all were so tired and sleepy, having official booking with adavance payments done, we travelled long way to reach the hotel and take rest but they chose to keep us waiting for 1 hour at least and argue stupidly on stupid...
Read moreI booked the hotel after reviewing many hotels on google maps, tripadvisor. i found this hotel comfortable and close to the railway station. The rooms were comfortable as shown in the pictures...
The hotel breakfast is wonderful its a full stomach.... with no aftereffects.. :)))
I would suggest not to take day out service via the hotel and do a research as with the traffic we wont be able to cover many locations in one day,
though hotel only called the travel agent (Manoj Shukla) and the deal was discussed between me and manoj but after taking the cab , manoj mentions there is no place to park and u will have to finish the things faster so think before u take cabs from manoj... we spend Rs 3800 for the day where he mentioned to show us 10 locations out of which we ended up in just 2 as we had to go for shopping (Our Decision), We just used the vehicle for 25 kms -30 kms and the tempo traveller came at 10.45 Am - released at 4 Pm .. so net net take Uber its cheaper incase u dont have much luggage to carry around.
Overall hotel is fine... no issues...
