WESTIN Pune Koregaon Park - chose this hotel by the recommendation of a friend and it was the absolute right choice for my vacation. |The magical experience started as we entered the Hotel lobby after a long drive of almost 3 and half hours ! |Met Mr Akum Ao at the reception desk and immediately there was this sense of comfort due to the way he interacted, greeted us and told us about the goods about being an Westin guest.|Then we met the magic lady Miss Melari. We were struggling with our ID and got into a little discomfort- and that when she noticed us and came ahead to ask if we needed any help. That made us feel comfortable and throughout the time we took to recover the ID, Merali stayed near us and that helped. The next day morning again we met Melari at the reception when we were on the way to breakfast with little confusion, she again helped us, walked with us to the dinning place and ensured we were comfortable. She also offered to show us the property with her pleasant smile post breakfast and went om to show us all the major attractions of the property. We were so thrilled that later we decided to extend the stay for one more day instead of returning back to hometown and it was the right choice made as I personally completely enjoyed my stay with comfort and more importantly with a Joyful heart !||Have been to multiple 5 start hotels but Customer Centricity at Westin Pune was the best and for us, that's because of both of you ! Trying to match Marriott standards.. but far too many issues. I would rate the hotel.. pretty high on cleanliness and hygiene. Staff courtesy and behaviour also was good. May not have been effective though! Buffet spread.. lavish.. wide array.. but quality of dishes I would rate an average of 6 to 6.5 out of 10.0. Even though we were there through the weekend.. what I mean that there were fruits.. but not the exotic ones. Even the imported Plum I tried.. was shrivelled and discolourwd from inside. Fresh juices.. were diluted and didnt look that fresh to me. (So made it a point to order it fresh at Breakfast service each morning). There were Desserts.. but regular.. Mung Dal Halwa and some Cakes here and there. Limited choice in Momo's. Sushi also.. quite amateurish. In all the Asian spread.. the non veg bits were too chewy.. as if batterfried previously and just added to the respective sauces at that time.

Another major irritant for me was the express operator service. There was no separate numbers for Housekeeping.. or Room Service or Concierge or Gym or Reception or whatever. It got routed through the above express number.. to whom you have to even explain in detail why... you need to speak to any of the regular departments. And that was a real waste of time..!!

In the room.. it was tres clean.. but bare.. period. Rest cant say much. The switches didnt work. Lights played truant.. TV channels didnt work.. inspite of calling the guys several times to check it out. The Tea kettle was broken. The room Steam Iron was leaking.

Ladies Steam Room... out of service for awhile. (Spa steam Room chargeable). On the whole it seems... too steep for the amount they charge. And appears the hotel.. is trying to show opulence.. but is actually too reserved and stingy with everything and all their services. Hey need to rush.. may...
