We had our New Year’s Day lunch at Punjab Grill Kopa Mall, and honestly, the experience was a letdown. Since we were a group of 12-13, we pre-booked a table, only to arrive and find out it had been given to another family! When we asked the manager, instead of taking responsibility, he snapped back, “What do you want me to do? Fire the waiter for this silly mistake?” Zero accountability.
We settled for an outdoor table, but the service was painfully slow. Despite ordering as soon as we arrived, even the starters took almost an hour. To top it off, tables that arrived much later than us got served before us.
When it was time to pay, we asked for the Zomato walk-in discount, but were denied because we had “pre-booked”—which, ironically, wasn’t honored in the first place! We let that slide, but the manager’s attitude was straight-up rude just because we pointed out their mistake.
And then came the final kicker—there was a promo where bills above a certain amount were supposed to get free gifts. Our bill was 3-4 times that amount, but we got nothing. Instead, we were told to register on a QR code, and surprise, surprise—nothing ever arrived.
Food was decent, but the galouti was downright awful. Honestly, for a place like Punjab Grill, this kind of service was...
Read moreI recently visited Punjab Grill at The KOPA Mall, drawn in by its elegant setup and the promise of rich North Indian flavors. The ambiance was definitely impressive — classy interiors and a calm vibe that’s perfect for a laid-back evening. We decided to try their Veg Starter Platter and Veg Biryani, keeping it simple yet expecting bold Punjabi flavors.
The starter platter had a decent variety — paneer tikka, tandoori mushrooms, and veg seekh kebabs. While everything was nicely presented, the flavors didn’t quite stand out. It lacked that punch I usually look for in Punjabi tandoori dishes. The Veg Biryani was aromatic but leaned more towards being a mildly spiced pulao than a true biryani, which was a bit underwhelming.
What stood out more than the food was the pricing. For the portion size and taste, I felt it was definitely on the expensive side. It might work if you’re here for a special occasion or want to enjoy the ambiance, but from a food perspective, there are better options in the city at a more reasonable price.
Overall, while the service was courteous and the setting quite nice, the food didn’t fully justify the premium tag for me. Might come back if I’m in the mood for fine dining, but not for a...
Read moreVisited Punjab Grill, Kopa Mall, Pune for a casual family dinner (5 adults + 1 kid), and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had in a while.
Despite having only 4 tables occupied and 3 waiters with 1 manager, the service was painfully slow. Food took ages to arrive, and even simple requests like extra cutlery or clearing plates were met with arrogance and delay. The staff seemed confused and inattentive about basic table service — they didn’t know which plates to clear or what temperature should the finger bowl be at the end.
Food-wise: Snacks: 3/5 — Hara bhara kebab was below average. Main course: 4/5 — Decent breads and sabzi. Dessert: 2/5 — Gulab jamun was outright bad. Food temperature was fine, but the freshness and quality felt sub-standard, especially considering the brand and pricing.
We raised our concerns, but the staff’s only response was a casual “Sorry sir, aa gaya aa gaya.” That summed up the attitude for the night.
Overall, not worth the time, money, or the brand name Punjab Grill carries. Thanks to Dineout discount, that came to rescue a little, otherwise the bill came to around ₹3500, without any drinks.
Big NO — won’t...
