We've never had a more terrible experience at any hotel in our trips so far as we had at this one. We had pre-booked two rooms with a neighbouring hotel, Hotel Grand Galaxy, as we were reaching Amritsar quite late that night. Due to unavailability of rooms, they reaccommodated us here. Hollywood Heights gave us rooms saying that they are "upgraded rooms at the same cost". We had basic expectations, knowing that it was an OYO hotel, meant for a short night stay. However, the first two rooms miserably failed in meeting even the basic expectations: our room's AC was not working and our friends' room's washbasin pipe was broken and leaking. We had reached around 9:00/9:30 PM after a long drive from Mandi, so we simply informed them of these issues and got our rooms changed. However, to add to the disappointment, even the changed rooms were equally bad. Their so called "ready rooms" had sticky, unclean floors, bathrooms with stink, and rugs and linen that looked like it had not been changed since ages. It was almost 10:30 PM by this time, and we were yet to have dinner/eat something after long hours of driving, visit the Golden Temple, come back, and get some sleep before the next day's long drive. Thinking that we had to spend just the night / 5-6 hours, we did not bother to change the rooms or the hotel, and went to Golden Temple for some calm. (We wished we had spent the night at the Golden Temple or in the car rather than in the hotel!) We came back around 1 AM and to further dismay saw that our parking space was given out to someone else and we were stranded in the alley with no place. A random hotel staff member came out after a few calls, asked to park the car right at the hotel entrance/stairs or out on the road, and asked for depositing the car keys with him. How could we trust him after the horrifying experience? We somehow parked it in front of the hotel stairs and went to sleep. As if this torture wasn't enough, at 2 AM, our friends (who owned the car) get a call from the staff to move the car as someone else wanted to remove their vehicle. Imagine this unempathetic behaviour toward someone who had been driving for more than 12 hours at a stretch that day and had to drive for another 8 hours the next day early morning. Another odd 1 hour was lost in arguing with the staff about this unruly behaviour. They have no parking space and whatever space is there is managed extremely poorly. In a nut shell, unhygienic rooms and toilets, no parking, and zero civic sense to the staff, and they charge 2k per room. Highly disappointed! Most hotels around are similar though. So our advise to travelers would be don't stay in Amritsar if possible (visit the Golden temple, shop around, have Giani's lassi, eat nice food at Brother's Dhaba, and move to your next destination). If you must stay in Amritsar for a night and don't mind sparing a decent amount, there's Ramada right inside the Golden Temple premises. Avoid booking any hotels near the...
Read moreTo be honest, all these current reviews on google about this hotel is blatant lies. I have divided this review into some parts, just to give a precise review.||||- Manager: Their manager gives a lot of fake answers / replies. He must get oscar. Not even OYO’s Owner (Ritesh Agarwal) haves this much.||||Once I wanted 3 towels to bath at night around 11:45pm. The manager was chit chatting with other staff members in reception and when I asked for it, he said “Arre Sir, how can I get you THREE towels at this time?”. I mean, is this the way you treat your customers? After that he gave me 2 towels and said “Don’t tell anyone about this.”. Felt like I was secretly dealing with towels.||||- Bathroom: They have mentioned everywhere on internet that they have hot water running through taps 24/7 but the reality is that they dont’t even have greasiers installed in the bathroom! ||||- Room: At the time of sleep, everyone likes comfortable blankets, clean and good bedsheets. But here, everything‘s other way around. When I came in the room, first thing I did was thay I checked for blankets, they were having 2 big holes in it and was full of dust from inside. Their bed was like it hasn’t been cleaned for 2-3 months! ||||When I asked them to change blankets, one of their staff said that “Sir, that’s not OUR PROBLEM, we haven’t recieved our laundry today.”. Now you say, who’s problem is this? Completely their fault.||||- Extra Bed: We ordered an extra bed. We got as requested, but the bed was so much hard, it felt that I was sleeping on floor directly, after that I found an hole, and it was filled with think Thermocol. And expect that, you would be given an white clean bed sheet, but, they given an old blanket instead and told me to co-operate because “SORRY SIR, That’s not OUR PROBLEM, We haven’t got the laundry.” I mean WHAT IS THIS?!||||- Reviews: All the reviews available on google that at this moment shows that it is around 1600+, with 4 Star reviews is all fake, I studied its pattern and found that their hotel is completely empty most of the time and they are getting 5 STARS review every 24 hours automatically. And when you inspect anyone‘s profile from the review, they only have 1 review with no other reviews. I fully feel that all the reviews are FAKE and are BOTED / BOT / PURCHASED.||||- Conclusion ||NEVER, means NEVER EVER book this hotel’s room, Do only if you want to make your vacation WORST.||DON’t GO if anyone provides room for FREE||||I’ll give 3 stars to it’s locational facotr as it is near to the Golden Temple and a good...
Read moreThe worst ever stay. We were travelling to Amritsar from Delhi for our interview at 9 in the morning and had already travelled for almost 7 hours. We reached here and they made us check in a double room saying that in some time they will shift us to another room i understand may be because that we pre checked in and these people didn't have any room at that time. We agreed to swap the rooms and the other room they gave us i.e 406 was neither clean nor set, plus the room was smelling of dead rat. We however managed to get ready and left for the interview. When we came back the room was smelling even worse. Before going out for lunch we told the receptionist to either change the room or get it cleaned he agreed to change our room, we came back and still our room wasn't ready he asked us to wait for 10-15 mins, for more than an hour we waited in our friend's room. After that we went down to ask for the keys and still the hell of that room wasn't ready. This guy still made us wait for 30 mins. After all this when we asked one of your workers (who was busy watching television sitting right in front of us) that how long its going to take he replies with a grin "Jab ready hoga aapko bta denge" behaving like these people are doing a favour on us by giving us a room. Finally when we were told that the room was ready we went to the room the guy was still sweeping the floor. Such a disappointing and...
