I have heard alot of this place and being a food blogger I love exploring new and new places. I was surprised that even tho being a local of the city I never went to this famous shop. Maybe cause it's quite far from my place.
Well talking about the ambience, it's good. It's cleaner than 90% of shops like this in Amritsar. Also the way they prepare stuff is good. They have a water profiter kept. There are no flies or mosquitoes.
Coming to the food they serve, it's tasty. Really amazing. Very fresh. But it's not at all spicy and I'm a die hard fan of spicy food. Also the price they have set is more than their product quality. Also note, if you are the kind of person who can't stay without eating onions with your meal, this place isn't for you. They don't use onions at all.
Menu isn't updated on the zomato app. I'm attaching a few pictures along with the latest price list. Make sure you carry enough money according to the new price list. I would rate it a 4/5 overall but a 5/5 in hygiene.

I visited Brijwasi Chat in Amritsar after hearing a lot of hype, but it turned out to be one of the worst food experiences I’ve had in the city. The place looks shabby, and the hygiene is a serious concern — flies hovering around, dirty counters, and staff who seem completely disinterested in cleanliness or service.
I ordered their "famous" aloo tikki and dahi bhalla — and honestly, I've had far better at small roadside stalls. The tikki was soggy and cold, not crispy at all. The dahi was sour and seemed stale, and the chutneys tasted more like colored water than actual flavors.
Prices are high compared to the quality and quantity. On top of that, the attitude of the staff was rude and careless — like they’re doing you a favor by serving you. Zero hospitality.
If you're in Amritsar for good street food, avoid Brijwasi Chat. There are far better places with authentic taste, hygiene, and value. This place is nothing but overhyped...
Read moreBeing in Lucknow, you get a classic taste of tikki batasha. here chat was different. Bun tikki was good in taste. Its like similar to you get in Indore veg benzo. But here you get different taste imli khatti meethi chutney.
Items I had: Batasha: 4.5/5 very different taste, filling had lots of red chutni + boiled potato+ chana. Paani was also good. But 60rs for 8 batasha is too expensive, even you eat at most expensive place in up. Bun tikki: 4/5 they didn't had long bun, but it was like desi burger without veg. Taste was good but little at higher expensive side. Mix chat: there were no flavours in chat. Just few papdi + curd + chutni. 2/5.
Overall chat is good with different taste with high cost. For tax saving they take only cash payment. They dont have any mode of online payment. So I had...
