gharaunda guest house — Hotel in Rajasthan

I stayed at this hotel for two days and overall my experience is pleasant. It's located in old city at Ganesh ghati, and about a kilometre inside from Hati pol. Travelling to hotel from bus stand or other areas in Udaipur is expensive in private auto so better take shared auto. One may have to walk last mile to reach hotel, so if you prefer to hop out of vehicle into the hotel or have elderly or special person then avoid it. What's good is it's peaceful, no traffic noise, best place to relax or work from home. I liked spending time on terrace in evening as it's airy and can see part of the city landscape. Though close to lake it's view is obstructed by buildings. The owner manager is gentleman. Due to COVID situation, there were no food services besides accomodation. Room didn't offer any great view, i was ok as price was less. The room and washroom were clean, hot water via geyser, a double bed, wi-fi, LED TV available which I used as a computer monitor (the DTH service wasn't active as they didn't recharge as few customers in COVID). The neighborhood is okay considering its a small city though I thought little more cleanliness would make location more appealing. So overall good place for solo or couple or friends if you want decent clean room and don't mind it being away from city centre. Bikes available in neighbourhood on rent for Rs350 a day...

One of the most amazingly homely places I have ever lived in. The rooms are comfy, the rooftop is amazing and the staff goes absolutely out of way to gr things arranged to make ur stay as comfortable as possible. The location is also fab. Wonderful place to stay! The owner is so nice and helpful, it makes you feel right at home. The room is spacious and clean, good shower, hot water, plenty of closet space, air and light, nice view from the roof. It's close to everything and yet tucked away in an alley so more quiet.
