TRIP IN HOSTEL — Hotel in Rajasthan

Location: a few meters (1 min walk) away from city palace and Jagdish temple

Room: we stayed in a twin sharing room attached to the balcony and washroom. It was super clean.

View from the terrace: Surreal. one can sit back and enjoy the sunset shown in the image and order snacks. You can come along with your group or solo, play your music and enjoy in your way

Food: It was far better than the expensive restaurant in that area, taste, quantity, and price.

We stayed for 6 nights including the Holi festival. We were welcomed by the owner Gudu and his family who were excellent hosts! They were attentive, kind and we had an amazing time celebrating Holi with them. ||The double bedroom was clean, bed comfortable and the shower was lovely (ask at reception for the hot water to be turned on at any time). ||Breakfast was good! You can eat up on the rooftop overlooking the lake and nearby temples. ||Location was perfect. Lal Ghat is right amongst the shops and restaurants and only a 2 minute stroll downhill to the lake/boat jetty. We arrived in Udaipur at 5am; walking up Lal Ghat in search of a hostel Gudu, the owner, beckoned us to his place offering us a dorm bed for 250 each. He even allowed us to check in at 5am so we could get some sleep for the rest of the morning (luckily there were some bunks available). ||||Gudu is a very genuine man, very bubbly and makes you really feel at home. He loves to have a chat and is a good story teller. ||||The rooms are basic (we also stayed in a private room) but all with an en-suite bathroom and for the price of 250 for a dorm bed and 800 for private could not go wrong.
