BETHANY STAY — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Up in the hills close by to some of the must visit places in Ooty, the botanical gardens, a cute little coffee/tea shop as well as the Tibetan market! There’s quite a few other nice places and shops walking distance!

We had the family room, which included 3 rooms (two with a single bed each and one with a double bed) and a washroom(no shower just bucket and jug to wash).

It was a peaceful stay, as it’s in a part that doesn’t have too much of footfall through, but the other people in the other rooms were noisy and we could hear them…talking loud late hours of the night. So sound proofing would be ideal if possible. We didn’t have the breakfast included as it was served late (we generally go out when we travel by 8).. by 9:30/10:00. A kettle with some cups, tea/coffee would be amazing especially cause of being in the hills and waking up with a hot cup makes a persons day, also water in the room for drinking.. as you don’t want to go out in the cold to the communal kitchen every time you want water/tea/coffee..

Initially I was bit hesitant to book this stay since it was a new property and couldn't find more reviews on google. Yet we decided to go for it. Now zero regrets for my decision. It was a pleasant stay. Just 150 meters from the Botanical Garden. Nice and clean rooms. Friendly staff. The owner of the property Miss. Jenny made sure to make their guest so comfortable through their entire stay. She was very friendly and helpful for us. Actually we were somewhat unsatisfied with the food that we took from the costly restaurants in Ooty, but the breakfast we got from the Bethany Stay was the savior of the entire Ooty trip. If I am planning for a Ooty trip again, undoubtedly Bethany will be my first choice.
