Most pathetic hotel. After paying for Rs 2500 they chase you for checkout before your time is over and when we return to hotel there is no parking. How can we checkout with luggage with 86 years old senior citizen and they rushing us up to checkout immediately. Very disappointed. Are we not checkout, why reminders, why no parking & asked park elsewhere.. I asked them before booking whether carpark there & they confirmed. I made my way out to park it straight and checked out also in 10 minutes. But never again. They needed my Google review on checkout so I am posting here. Only Non veg hotel is another point to think about if you wish to stay here for temple visits.
Edited After reply :
I wrote motivating feedback in the feedback ledger which now I feel you donot deserve even 1%.
When we have checked out within 2 hours of grace time as per your given time (though your given time is wrong and we checked out at 13:54 after we entered hotel from temple at 13:41 as per you lobby clock & my 86 year old mother said this as she walked out as the front desk people were unduly putting pressure that never happen in any other hotel till her life - pls check CCTV), then what's the problem. When I saw my 86 year old mother getting upset for first time on checkout from a hotel this review was needed & posted after regretting what I wrote in the ledger on checkout.
Regarding 50 parking claim that you claim better let know your team where it is, why they denied entry in main gate saying no parking holding up the traffic honking & an auto hit my front of the car creating scratches that your security know very well. I had to push thru saying I have to checkout to get allowed on parking directly infront of lobby which is not a parking area till checkout that delayed 20 minutes of ordeal. Check your CCTV footage before reply, where the so-called 50 parking lots not known to your team. But host of these people line up for tip money on checkout, many faces I have not even seen, but paid couple of them who did their job what they are supposed to do, while others were showing gestures of disappointment. Can't help it. None can be rewarded a tip just like that who did not even provide their assigned support. Previous night They asked what time you need morning coffee, I said 5.15 three cups. They never showed up till I left hotel at 5.34 in morning on temple visit. Do they deserve tip for failed services. I am not even asking hotel to owe responsibility on failed service, because your reply indicate what the hotel can provide, can't be any better.
Your reply is proving to be defensive lacking correct or unvalidated information in complete. Do you think people choose your hotel to stay, I leave it to them, on knowing the facts. But I realised there are plenty of better options while driving around the city, much more accessible than your hotel, including few places where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner to try out each of these options. This was warranted as we donot each in veg & non veg combined restaurant while on temple visit which was purely our choice. This made us shortlist quiet a few good hotels, nice ambience, easy accessibility, good parking for our stay next time & to recommend...
Read moreI stayed at the Raya's Executive Homes earlier this week during my 5-day visit to Kumbakonam. I booked it through MakeMyTrip, therefore received a very good discount on the price. This is not so much a hotel as a function hall with rooms attached. Therefore you cannot find many of the facilities that you can find at normal hotels. For starters, there is no room service. At most you can call the reception and get them to fil the jug of water in the room. In addition, there are no attached restaurants either. You can have to go out to have any food. For me though, that was not a very big issue as I was out most of the day and in any case there are a couple of restaurants and eateries within about 200 meters with good food. The one disadvantage is that there are no lifts / elevators. Therefore if you are allotted a room on the top floor, you have to walk all the way up the stairs. A little lack of foresight I would say, while constructing the place.||||It is located in a decent locality and in one of the wider roads in the town and very close to the Mahamaham Kulam (pond). Therefore, it is relatively easier to take your vehicle there. They also have ample parking space for your car. The room was neat and the linen was clean. The bathroom was clean and well maintained too. The air conditioning worked very well. The room was connected to the adjacent room by means of a door, which they had locked thankfully. But the occupants of the adjacent room made quite a ruckus throughout the day &night (including talking loudly, watching TV at high volume, praying early mornings and snoring during the night) which was very audible in my room. That was very disturbing. Unfortunately there was no remedy for it.||||This is yet another hotel that is afflicted with the cable disease, with several channels snowed in. This is quite the epidemic among hotels in India. Curiously there was no TV on Saturday. I was told that there is a day long power outage on the last Saturday of every month. Not the hotel's fault. Though I was surprised that their backup systems which powered the air conditioner, did not power the TVs. The skeletal staff who are there are pretty courteous to talk to. While checking out, the payment had to be made in cash as their card machines would not work. So I had to run out to the ATM. Thankfully there was one close by. Another not very good aspect is that they do not provide you a receipt for the payment you made unless you insist on it. ||||Overall, it is a decent no-frills place if you just want a place to stay and can manage other things elsewhere. But then again, they do not have an incentive to improve either as this is primarily a functional hall and also the fact that they have several other hotels in the town which seem to be doing...
