Hotel Haifa — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

Looking at the reviews, I kept Haifa as the last option. I paid 2800+ GST for a small room for double occupancy. The room was ok, but you will have to ask them for the basics such as toilet paper, toiletries (which they don't provide except a shower gel and a small soap that too only for a day), and don't expect the rooms, blankets, or anything to be super clean. Wallpapers are peeling off from the walls.

The stay just brought down my excitement of visiting Banaras. AC doesn't work, flush doesn't work, the basics are just missing!!!

The only good thing is that the ghat is at walking distance, but it's better to choose a better hotel and travel by rickshaw. The only good gesture that I was kind of doubtful they would offer as per experience with the hotel services was that they kept my luggage for a few hours at the reception after check out. They don't even allow visitors.

Pro tip: if you are planning to visit Banaras, book your stay well in advance. I had a good budget, but all the hotels were booked even 10 days before my visit and that's how ended up at this hotel. They should definitely revamp their services as 2800+taxes without basic services is certainly a bad deal.

As the owner is too unprofessional, so need to clarify. I did complain about the flush and some guy came in the morning and fixed the issue. For air conditioner, I made multiple calls and the answer was power faliure everytime I called. The visitor came for 10 mins on the first day and half an hour on the second day, never stayed longer than that. As he was a local, so he helped us around. Ironically, the same visitor suggested this hotel to me and he has pledged not to do it ever. Stayed in Haifa for 4days after paying INR 2800/- per night assuming it would be a pleasant stay as the location is close to Assi ghat. I wish there is option to give this hotel a negative score as they don't deserve even a single star. We came directly from airport, and being promised a fully air-conditioned comfortable room - we got a tiny room with peeled walls, unclean bedsheets, a show-piece TV which didn't work as they didn't have any cable connection - though there is a remote and set-top box for dish tv. It was pretty hot weather, and had to call reception for them to switch on the Window AC fitted above the wooden door - which makes tooo much noise. There was no hot water in the bathroom as they switch off the connections. Wifi connection is very poor and keeps getting disconnected.

We had 2 rooms booked for 4 people. since we were staying together, as per our flight schedule we had to check out one room early. Owner's son agreed to collect the payment along with second room check out the next day. On the day of check out, the owner-old rude man threatened us to make a complete payment for the two rooms even before check out, as our cab was waiting outside. In spite of my brother requesting him saying that he is still there for a day and he will clear all dues. We had made an initial payment of 40%. This has made our stay in this beautiful city of kashi - turn bitter with their bad hospitality and awful behaviour. On one of the days, when we had to leave early morning for Darshan in Temple, the gate was locked with no watchman in site and the only man guarding the place was drunk and in deep sleep.
