We found the pictures and reviews of the property quite tempting and though slightly out of our budget, but still booked it. The property is quite nice, right on the river with its own ghat 'Panchkot ghat'. The property opens to a pretty garden and a sprawling terrace overlooking the embankment of the river. The rooms are spacious and the open plan sitting areas are aesthetically furnished. The good things stop here.|1. We were told all the meals have to be ordered beforehand. Fair enough, it's a family run establishment after all, not a hotel. But ordering breakfast also, 24 hours in advance is a bit of a stretch ! Who plans so much in ahead !|2. The meals are veg buffet. No other choice. And they charge 700/- per plate, for home cooked veg food consisting of 2 or 3 vegetables, daal, rice, roti and a sweet dish!! They simply take advantage of the fact that there are no decent restaurants nearby and even if we can have lunch elsewhere, it's quite inconvenient to go out for dinner. Moreover dinner time is 9 pm after which kitchen closes and they had no provision for leaving it for us to eat later if we wished.|3. We were told that they have a boating tour of their own, which will roam the ghats and show us the Dasaswamedh ghat aarti. We booked it trusting them completely. It's not a 5 star hotel. How expensive can things be? Later we came to know they are charging 700/- per head for a simple canoe style motor/row boat, which came to 5600/- for us. When we complained about the price, they immediately dropped it to 4000/-. We still found it quite exorbitant and later booked a big Bajra for 5000/-.|4. The nights we had dinner outside and came back at around 10 pm, we found the kitchen closed, sofas and chairs without cushion to sit on, and noone around to even provide drinking water for the night. We had to knock on the door and call a service guy and fill our bottles. We were also told that sofas are stripped of cushions because of stray dogs. So we don't get to sit on the sofas after 10 pm because the hotel can't control dogs straying in. And we pay 7000/- per room per night !!|5. Every time you came in from the ghats you have to call someone to open the gate near the ghat and that may take anything around 10 to 20 minutes with you standing in the scorching sun at the gate and waiting. The main gate had a security guard with the keys, who left after 9 pm and the same process followed.|6. Our flight was in evening and we had requested for keeping one room for a few hours with payment. We had two small kids with us and needed some place to rest and use the washroom till evening. We were told none of the rooms are available. They are fully booked. So we checked out and had to look for another place. When we called the hotel as a new customer just to check availability of rooms for the day, we were told yes, rooms are available!!! This is really really unacceptable behaviour!|Very ordinary properties get 5 star reviews just by giving good service and taking good care of their guests. Bad behaviour, bad service and taking advantage of guests doesn't...

Wonderful place but... At the arrival at the hotel the staff doesn't know that we have a reservation. Event if few days before we receive a mail of welcome from the hotel.
This family hotel could be a wonderful place. But there is not any kind of maintenance of the infrastructure of the place.
The photos in the booking websites do not correspond to the reality. We stay 5 days and at any moment they dress the garden and the terrace. Every thing is covered with a dirty kind of plastic.
At the entrance yard all-around you can find trash and paper on the ground.
I do not know if it is normal to employ a person under 15 years.
The girl at the reception Rudrani was totally discourteous and disrespectful with the guests. Instead of apologize she MOCK to us. They never ever answered to phone calls.
On the other hand for a place of this level, it's not normal that we can't pay with credit card. In the reservation just say that the payment will manage by the hotel... But never say that the payment has to be done in cash. You must know that ATM. Give maximum 10000 rupees.(near100 euros). We spend two hours looking for money.
Please do not look under the sheet and pillow cover. You will not put your head on. Also never eat dinner at the hotel is not good at all and very expensive.
Finally for a price of 80 euros per night they never ever...
