RATNAKAR BHAWAN (HERITAGE HOMESTAY) — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

It was the most beautiful week of my trip to Varanasi while staying in this beautiful heritage hotel. Actually even hard to call it a hotel, because it feels like home - it’s a house with 250 years history and you could feel it in the air - the way the rooms look is beautiful vintage style, a big mysterious hall with books and traditional design - and most importantly the family of owners itself. All of them, Rahul, his beautiful wife, his brother, mom and dad are so intelligent, beautiful, kind people that I just feel blessed to know them. Any small request that I had was replied to immediately, and any issues solved right away; they even helped me with returning the items I purchased to the shop where I got scammed with fake silk. Just an example to give you an idea how caring they are

The rooms are super clean and nice, I really loved this combination of old house feeling with vintage wardrobes and furniture combined with the professional top notch hotel service - even the soap, gel etc is all with their own labelling.

Another pleasure is the garden with beautiful greens where I did yoga in the morning.

The location is also just perfect, few mins away from the ghats, close to lots of restaurants and cafes - I would still advise trying their homemade food

I loved the cottage room with terrace - would recommend booking this option as it’s the most peaceful and spacious

Centrally located in Varanasi near Shivala ghat, Ratnakar Bhawan proved to be the perfect choice for our family which included my 85 year old father. We opted for 3 superior rooms at ground floor, keeping the convenience of my parents in mind. Rahul ji, his brother and the whole family are very nice hosts and they take care of your all needs with ease and broad smiles. They supported in our local travel plans and homely food. When we were going round places that needed much walking, my father stayed home and Rahuljis' family members and staff took very good care of him. The heritage haveli of Rahulji's family is very spacious and cozy place. We also enjoyed dinner with the family in their huge dining-cum-drawing hall on first floor. Getting Battery autos for local travel is also very convenient and Assi Ghat, Kashi Vishwanath Mahadev temple etc are very easy to visit from here. Shivala Ghat is just 80-100 meters from Ratnakar Bhawan. Rahulji arranged our evening boat ride with pick-up & drop at Shivala ghat.|Strongly recommend for comfortable stay at Kashi (Varanasi) with a genuine feel of Kashis'...

Ratnakar bhawan has excellent location. It is right at the shivala ghat which is mid-way between asi ghat and kashi vishwanath temple.

The property is a heritage bungalow which is quite old. we get the feel of staying at real kashi. when in kashi always live near the ganga ghat otherwise no use.

Hosts are amazing people. my interaction was with Rohan who was very helpful and gave me all time. They are highly cultured people and treat you as their personal guest to help you out in all ways possible.

Rohan's mom is the best. she gets amazing food that she personally serves. i didnt have lunch at the property but there are so many varieties in the breakfast and dinner. The main thing is that the way she serves that I even ate a few vegetables that otherwise I don't prefer eating haha. she is...
