Hotel Krishna Ji — Hotel in Uttarakhand

This hotel was a last minute decision and we chose it based on reviews in TripAdvisor, I needed a place to crash with my parents on our way back from Badrinath, I couldn't find the suitable options online or in any of the travel sites like mmt or trivago, so I called the reception for an Ac room for 3. The room was booked over phone I paid one night's amount through netbanking and got a confirmation on WhatsApp.|Rooms are spacious, clean and the hotel is very new, staff is courteous, person at the reception was extremely polite and very helpful, hotel offers free WiFi, room service, also has a nice rooftop restaurant, food is reasonably good though a little on the costlier side but we were too tired to venture out. Hotel also has a lift and the building is uniquely designed to have a nice big common area surrounding the rooms, Giving privacy and also a good place to interact for larger groups. You feel like you have walked into a house and not Hotel, which is really nice even for kids. Moreover it had some Regional channels available which my parents enjoyed. Initially our plan was to shift into a small hotel next day near bus stand and dump our luggage there as we had a very late night bus. But we decided to stay here for another day as we really liked it. Luckily the same room was available. I see this place coming up as one of the top places in haridwar if they continue their service in this same way. Will definitely stay again. What I really liked:|1. Helping with luggage.|2. Switching on and making sure TV, AC, geyser, phone all works as they led us into the room|3. Providing WiFi password as we checked in, didn't need to ask. |4. It was a family trip with kids and parents. We were given a complimentary upgrade for the rooms as there was lift upgrade work going on. Detailed view:

1. Location- its situated within the city, inside streets (just like all other hotels), hence, hotel has limited parking, which is outside the hotel (on the road) but its safe. Its 20-30 mins, walking distance from Ganga ghat (~3kms) or 5-7 mins via auto, which charge you 20/ person.
2. Rooms- we booked 2 room. Rooms were spacious and mattress was comfortable and clean. Due to heavy rains, rooms had that smell of dampness (सीलन) but it was manageable. Hotel staff was courteous to spray room freshers. AC was effective and washroom was clean.
3. Food- food was decent (a little over priced), far better than what you will get from the restaurants on the streets. Unfortunately, hygiene is an issue across all the street restaurants (rats running around, smelly clothes used for cleaning the utensils etc.), hence we preferred paying extra money at the hotel.
4. Check out- booking with MMT was great, we got a deal via ICICI card. Checkout experience was effortless. We checked out early (6.30 am) to beat the city traffic and staff was amazing. Overall that stood out, which at times lack in 5 stars properties too, was the experience provided by the hotel staff. Front desk folks were really helpful with sharing details, courteous to address issues and always kept that smile on their face. I will come back to Krishna Ji again. Thanks for the amazing...

We were tired and without a hotel, when we went to check this one out. Rooms were spacious and clean (!!) We were before at a very simple, frizzing and dirty ashram. It was a relief to stay in this hotel. They Provide us with a small heater fan which was great and I had a good night of sleep. I also asked for extra blanket just in case (but there was no need). They even borrowed me a hair dryer and I finally washed my hair after quite some days without courage to wash it. The only thing is that you need to be very fast with your shower as the water starts to lose the heat and at the end can get cold. But I think this is quite common in India, so I give them a discount for that (anyways, if I knew I would hurry up more with my bath). They had take our clothes for washing and we got them back in the same day. Provided us with a taxi to another city for a similar price from Uber (we were afraid of not finding a driver available).
