Capital O Sumangal Lodge — Hotel in West Bengal

Booked through OYO. The manager promised to include meal at rate cheaper than OYO and advised me not book through OYO. I than talked and he agreed to include my dinner for the actual per day Tariff minus the OYO amount I paid. I confirmed thrice and at no time the manager told otherwise . The hotel despite stating that food will be wasted went on loading items over and above my order for 3 days. Finally the night before checkout he denied stating that he can't include the meal. That night I had better food outside the hotel. In the morning I found that the bill for food was very high, even higher than that quoted by OYO. I protested and offered to pay the rate they quoted to charge if I booked food directly from them. The manager and staff started to quarrel and mouthed bad words and threatened to manhandle me. I paid the full amount even then they followed and continouly mouthed bad words. The hotel staff are not only unprofessional but acts like goons. They didn't clean the room for all 4 days I stayed. Toiletries were provided only once. The hotel has few rooms which remains empty probably due to their unruly staffs. They don't deserve to be in business....

This hotel is newly built & is centrally located, not very far from the railway station and the main road. Helpful staff. Rooms are decently furnished. Just could not give it a 5 star rating because it does not have an attached restarant, though the staffs take orders from the boarders and bring food from outside as per requirements. Though the hotel will allow you to park your car inside the gate, it is only when the bank located at the ground floor of it's premises is closed, ususally after 08-00 PM. And you are requested to take it out and park on the road before 08-00 AM, when...

The Hotel ambience was awesome and the staff as well as the manager was very co-operative and provided our family the best service and fully masked while in contact with us.The owner of this property was very helpful and caring. I believe it is the best hotel in maldah for stay.The rooms as well as the washrooms was extremely clean and sanitized. The services provided in this hotel should be provided by all the hotels in India.
