Summit Oakden Resort and Spa, Darjeeling.

Worst experience. Don't get fooled by the pictures uploaded. Not a single picture of the deluxe rooms are uploaded here to mention in the beginning. I previously stayed at summit hotels in other state so decided to book particularly summit oakden because of its location on the mall road. Booking was done for deluxe room for 2 days.

As per deluxe rooms: Rooms are in the basement (ground floor that is 0 and the reception is in top floor that is 4) No windows Very small suffocating rooms No extra space in room No ventilation The washroom is 5ft*2ft (to be more specific wall to wall dimensions is similar to the size of a commode)

As per other types of room (premium view) i cannot tell anything. Please read the review of different websites before booking

After declining to stay in deluxe rooms requested for an upgradation which wasn't provided. The staff said to speak to the reservation team for help which didn't turn out to be beneficial.

When requested for a refund (as i checked out as soon as I saw the room) as the amount paid was ₹17,336 the staff firstly asked to contact the booking site (MakeMyTrip) and when the site was contacted the hotel denied refund to the particular site. When continuously explained that both the rooms (507 and 506) are same the staff of the hotel argued on the fact that both the rooms are not same (even after the rooms being just next to each other).

Speaking about location: It's on the opposite side of the known place mall. To be precise the location is on the back side of the chowrasta.

Food: Can't comment anything because I checked out of the hotel as soon as I saw the room.

Front desk (staff behaviour): Rude behaviour of the staff. Not ready to accept that the pictures uploaded and the rooms provided are not same.

Cab till the front of the hotel is not allowed due to its location beside the Raj Bhavan. If the watchman is available then he might carry the luggage. Otherwise self help.

Suggestion: Please do not pay the amount during booking. See the room and then only pay at the hotel. Read the reviews before booking. If needed verify via videocall with the hotel staff about rooms alloted.

PS: There's a lot of other hotels with similar price even lower than that on proper mall road. Search a little bit more before making...

Summit oakdane Darjeeling* (One star service like near railway station hotel)

I done the booking with the support of ms.pallavi for 08 rooms with 08 extra bed....but before few days ago ms.pallavi quit the job from summit group....

Yesterday me guest check in the hotel at 8 pm, no welcome drink produced to them also before check in i called her staff and told her that they have 8 extra bed and please provide accordingly....

In night i called again and talked with male staff may be sayed or simmilar name he completely denied for extra bed.. he told me thet client have use sofa for extra bed, then told sir i paid for extra bed and sofa is part of room and dont be include in extra bed..... He denied and dont produced.... 1st day very very worst experience......

16 may- cleint went to sightseeing and told to staff about cleaning, but hotel staff again not cleaning the room....by 8 pm client reach hotel after sightseeing, they request please provide tea and will pay extra amount again hotel staff denied and said now we are dinner time so we don't provide tea at this time.....

Now me and manjit sir also tried for extra beds again hotel staff not produced extra bed my client had slept in single bed with very very difficulties.....and me and manjit sir called many times to oakden staff about extra bed, they didn't pick our call....

My client, they all are sbi officer from solapur district Maharashtra, they believe Ramakrishna Travels about services and i believe summit group hotel but sorry so say this one is not even single star hotel.... I promise i never down this matter easily because my experience is very bed..... summit oakdane spoil my package.....
