Very nice place for staying in sanur, highly recommended for 2-3 people(per room) and for Traveller on a budget(i paid 280k idr + 100k idr for extra bed). However there's only 5 rooms on this homestay. Starting from the room, the room is very clean when i got there, it isn't very big but you can add extra bed on the room but on the other end you will completely eat up all the spaces next to your bed so there's no table next to your bed if you use extra bed. There's tv but i don't watch it so i didn't know if there was any international tv channel. The refrigerator is quite big for a room this small. There's 4 power outlet on the room, but only 2 of them that you can use since the other 2 is for the tv and the refrigerator, but the placing for the rest of the power outlets is convenient because they're placed next to the bed. The air conditioner went great when i'm staying there. The next is the bathroom, i really like it since the shower area is separated and the shower works really great, including the hot/cold water that went great as well. Soap and shampoo on this place is liquid kind of soap which i personally like. The toilet is good( I don't know what a great toilet is) you could use the spray or just wipe you business down there. This place doesn't give you any cup or anything to take water when you brush your teeth, but there's two glass cup on the room that you could use instead. Next is the service, I'm pretty sure this homestay doesn't provide any kind of breakfast, but i might be wrong. Everyday i always go to sindhu market which is close from here, and buy indonesian food like Nasi Kuning. There's 2 service guy there and they're always on standby on the front of the homestay when i need them and they're really friendly. Next up is the location, the first is minimarket, circle K is only across the street from here. The beach is close from here BUT if you want to go to the beach you have to walk around 1-2km from here. For bugdet indonesian food is non existent around the homestay so i have to use go-food to order budget indonesian food. And the last but not least is the negatives thing about this homestay. On the last time i booked here, i use agoda and I'm pretty sure that the price is 230k and when i got there they billed me 280k, so if you want to go here maybe you could pay first instead of paying at hotel, but the staff is very cooperative with this stuff. That's it i guess, thank you...
Read moreFor the second time in 2 weeks I needed a budget place to stay in Sanur for about a week. This bijou, locally owned/run homestay is set down a small paved road about 100m off the main road Jalan Danau Tamblingen. Mona is a truly peaceful haven. It is in an enclosed courtyard with the handful of guest rooms built alongside the owners own house, every available outdoor space filled with beautiful tropical plants. Inside, the bedroom feels really spacious and bright. Comfortable queen bed, A/C and ceiling fan plus flat screen TV. The bathroom has very powerful, 5* hot water shower, with shampoo and shower wash also provided. Although they do not offer breakfast you can help yourself to tea or coffee from their kitchen any time but the biggest plus is your room has a full sized fridge, with plenty of shops close by to be able to fill it if you want to be self sufficient. Equally Sanur has so many restaurants serving all styles of breakfast within easy walking distance. ||Staffed by genuinely caring, helpful, friendly people, without a doubt I would choose Mona Homestay again and...
Read moreThis is easily the best homestay I've stayed in. Kidek (I'm sorry if I mispelt his name) is so friendly and helpful, always happy to help with a smile. The location is great - handful of good restaurants nearby and just ten minutes to the beach, but still very peaceful. My room was large and clean, with good AC, hot water, and a TV (though I never used it), and a decent sized fridge! So many properties don't have this, so I was super pleased to be able to keep my drinks cool. It was also good to have a decent cupboard with hanging space.
A simple but good breakfast is offered everyday, and you also have access to complimentary coffee and tea making facilities, as well as water to refill your bottle with. I really liked this, it's such a helpful touch and also keeps plastic wastage down as I didn't need to keep buying water bottles.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this homestay, and I hope to stay again...
