Captain Goodtimes — Hotel in Gili Air

We loved almost everything about this place. On previous visits to Gili Air we have always stayed on the beach but being in the middle of the island gives you so many more options. A beach is less than 5 minutes by bicycle. The rooms are well finished with great facilities, minibar (same price as regular bar) and lots of sockets. Some outside power socket options would have been nice too. It is very kid friendly and our daughter made a lot of new friends here. The pool area is fantastic and you can jump in from 4-5m up into a 2.5m deep pool. Food is great and offers a different menu to the usual places you would find - the laksa is fantastic but the chips are some of the best we have ever had. Twice cooked, hand cut - crunchy outside and fluffy in the middle! Breakfasts are excellent and they can be served to your room too - would be nice to have the option of some bacon there too please! The staff are brilliant and want to do everything to make your stay perfect. What would make this a 5? Maybe a couple of local dishes on the menu would be nice, especially if you are staying here for a week or two like we did. A shade or cover over the kiddie pool (which we understand is happening soon). When we come back to Gili Air we will definitely book Goodtimes again and have no hesitation recommending this place to...

Berlin-ish accommodation in Gili Air.

We are so happy that we spent our holiday on Gili Air at GoodTimes. The place is beautiful, especially in the morning when the light is flowing in over the reception, the bungalows and the pool. And also at night as the lamps will light up this Oasis.

It is situated in the middle of the island, but as the island is very small it is not more than 500 meters to the beach.

The breakfast is perfect, your choice of pancakes or different omeletts. And a plate of fruite, juice and coffee or tea.

The norwegian couple running the place and their kids are so sweet and helpful. The staff is too, and they are making sure that the minibar is constantly refilled with beer and drinks which is nice when you come from the beach.

It is a social place, and it seems like there is always someone around for a chat and a coffee or a beer.

The rooms has a minimalist design of concrete and details that makes me think of Berlin for some reason. The concrete also gives a cooling feeling in the heat.
