Oh my goodness, where do I even start with Rimba Villas?! This place is an absolute gem, and my stay there was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with such warmth and genuine enthusiasm that it felt like coming home. They went above and beyond to make every moment special, and let me tell you, they absolutely nailed it! The highlight of our trip was the jaw-dropping birthday breakfast they prepared for us. It was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds! Picture this: a vibrant spread of fresh tropical fruits, fluffy pancakes drizzled with honey and decorated with beautiful flowers floating on the pool, perfectly brewed tea, and these adorable omelettes that were almost too pretty to eat (almost!). They even surprised us with a beautifully birthday decoration and a heartfelt note. The attention to detail was unreal, and it made the celebration so memorable. I’m still dreaming about that breakfast! And the rooms? Sensational doesn’t even begin to cover it! Our villa was a slice of paradise—spacious, impeccably clean, and designed with such style. The plush bedding, stunning views of lush greenery and the perfectly embedded pool made it feel like pure luxury. It was the perfect blend of modern comfort and tropical charm, and I could’ve stayed there forever. The staff deserve a standing ovation! They were beyond helpful, always going the extra mile with a smile. Whether it was arranging activities, order laundry service, recommending local spots, or just checking in to make sure we were having the time of our lives, their kindness and professionalism were unmatched. They truly made us feel like VIPs. Rimba Villas is a magical escape that I can’t stop raving about. We stayed at Rimba Villas for a month.

We are a very loud and crazy family of 4 (2 young and excitable boys). Gili Air is the total opposite of our normal London life, and we couldn’t have wished for a more magical month. Gili Air is PERFECT for families.

Rimba Villas is in a great spot – away from the main ‘high street’ yet still close to everything that you will need.

The Play Café is less than a 5 min walk and it’s an incredible place for families.

During our stay we watched sunrise and sunset regularly - locations to enjoy these are easy to reach from Rimba. The reception team are always able to recommend locations and venues if needed..although sometimes it’s nice to just explore!

The island is inhabited by the kindest people, and we always felt very welcomed and safe. Our eldest son made friends with some of the local children in the village and even joined them for a morning at school!

Rimba Villas is very calming and welcoming. The staff became like family and were so kind to us (especially to our children). From organising massages for my husband and I to calling out a doctor for our baby nothing was too much. They even helped us with a few special requests that were sourced and delivered from Lombok!

We will never forget their kindness and beautiful playfulness with our children – it really felt like a home from home.

The rooms are stylish. The villa and pool is kept very clean. The reservation team were fantastic during our booking process and again helped with some more unusual requests like a playpen and paddling pool – nothing was too much trouble.

We had the most unforgettable time on Gili Air and Rimba Villas was truly a home from home for us.

Our family recently stayed at Rimba Villas on Gili Air, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the property with everything being thoughtfully designed, blending luxury with tropical charm. It truly felt like our own private oasis.

The villa itself was immaculate, spacious, and so comfortable. Every detail, from the stylish decor to the top-notch amenities, was perfect. Our 8-year-old son especially loved the private pool where he spent hours splashing around. It was the perfect setup for a family getaway.

What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. They were incredibly warm, helpful, and attentive – always with a smile and ready to assist with anything we needed. Whether it was organizing transportation, helping with restaurant recommendations, or simply checking in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Their hospitality truly made the experience feel special.

The location is also ideal with just a short walk to both the west and north sides of the island, where we enjoyed breathtaking sunsets and some fantastic dining options. It was peaceful and perfectly positioned for exploring the best of Gili Air.
