La Siesta Gili Air — Hotel in Gili Air

We recently had the pleasure of staying in the beautiful La Siesta for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and ready to ensure that our stay with them was a memorable one. They take the time out to get to know their guests and always greet their guests by name which is a lovely personal touch. Their attention to detail and work ethic was second to none. Our bungalow was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was beautiful, we fell in love with the smoothie bowls. The staff treated us to a beautiful floating breakfast during our stay. We really admired their efforts to care for the environment in La Siesta such as a free refilling of mineral water. We also had our laundry done on site for a very reasonable price. The staff were on hand to assist with recommendations for sunset spots, local restaurants, snorkelling and bicycle rental. They even provided us with torches to use at night for cycling around. We have stayed in many beautiful hotels throughout our honeymoon but we have never met staff as kind and thoughtful with the same personal touch as we encountered in La Siesta. I genuinely nearly cried leaving La Siesta! I have never met such friendly, kind, welcoming and warm people. I will never forget them. They made my time in Gili Air unforgettable and now I will always want to come back to La Siesta to visit the team. Everything was thought about, even providing us earplugs when the local mosque was noisy one evening and leaving me a specially prepared breakfast to take with me on a snorkelling trip early one morning. The team knew my name from the moment I arrived and made me feel so special. Every time I arrived back at the hotel they gave me a warm welcome and were on hand to help with everything.
