Will definitely come back to stay here if I'm in Gili T!||Upon Arrival in Gili T, the owner of the place waited for me with a namecard. 😊||Just 10mins walk from harbour and 5mins bicycle ride, Meisya's cottage makes a great homestay for travellers who wish to explore the beach. (Yet at the same time, sleepy easy away from all the noisy clubs)||Breakfast served every morning from 8-10 (or was it 11?) |Simple but healthy, choice of Banana Pancakes or Eggs and toast, served with fruits, juice and coffee or tea.||More importantly, a/c, big comfy beds and a clean shower bathroom! Complete with cable tv and a minibar. ||Bikes available free for use.||You'll be on the same property as the owner but you'll definitely have your own privacy and they're just afew paces away if you need any help. ||Snorkelling gear free for use too! ||Ahmad (the owner) provided a map for exploring the island. ||I love the simple concept of the place, definitely not for fussy stayers. Wifi available but not always stable connection. ||And cats. Afew cats came by my room both nights during me stay. I didn't mind coz i love cats. Just a note for those of you who don't particularly favour them 😂||Overall i enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back again! 😊 ||thank you...
Read moreThis has been a very famous accommodation among Koreans, so it is very difficult to make a reservation. As the reputation suggests, the owner is very kind, and they clean the place every day. There is even a TV at this price, and the air conditioning works very well (I couldn't extend my stay, so I had to stay at another accommodation for one night, and the air conditioning didn't work well, so I kept thinking about this accommodation). The breakfast was also really delicious, and most importantly, the bicycles are free! The owner runs a travel agency called MATT'S OFFICE, and they introduce tour products like snorkeling at very cheap prices, so I think it would be a good idea to make a reservation there. I didn't go on the tour, but I personally enjoyed snorkeling at Turtle Point, and the owner lent me the equipment, but I felt a little sorry because he gave me a new snorkel mask and lent me such a cheap price. And in the middle of it, my husband and I had a situation where our phones got submerged and we couldn't see the map, so he took us to a repair shop and even asked a friend in Lombok to find out how to fix my phone...
I've stayed at many accommodations while traveling, but this one...
Read moreMeisya Cottage is a great place to stay if you are visiting Gili Trawangan. It is a family run business, Matt makes you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.||He arranged for us to be met at the beach when the boat dropped us off; we were greeted by a gentleman with the biggest smile who escorted us off the beach and to a waiting horse and cart that was ready to take us the (relatively) short distance to the cottage, where Matt was waiting for us at the entrance. ||The cottage is (ever so) slightly off the beaten track, but that is what adds to it's attraction. What you get is a air conditioned spacious room with wet room bathroom with a shower that worked as well as any back in the UK!||We had free use of some rather fetching bikes and snorkelling gear, which was a big bonus and enabled us to see all the island had to offer.||Breakfast was lovely and was taken at your leisure at your own table just outside your cottage door, cooked to order and followed by fresh fruit.||This really is great place to stay, and i would encourage anyone to stay there and support a young family making something for themselves on this...
