Bliss Cuisine — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

I have visited twice for smoothie bowls and they were delicious so tonight I visited them to have some dinner. I ordered the roasted veg bowl and it came out with 4 ants crawling in it and a piece of metal wire. They didn’t seem to think this was a big deal. In fact the waiter and chef looked at me like I was a big inconvenience for them. They allowed me to order something else so I ordered the Moroccan stew and I re-confirmed again that I am gluten free so may I please have the gluten free bread. The stew came and the pumpkin chunks were not even peeled but that wasn’t the problem. They gave me non-gluten free bread!! When I am gluten intolerant which I told them many times. I tasted it and again requested them to double check. Their chef on the phone said it’s NOT gluten free and the waiter starts yelling at me saying ‘why did you eat it’ like it’s my fault. I asked them 3 times before eating it but I felt it tasted not right. Then the waiter starts yelling at me becoming aggressive and completely rude, taking no responsibility whatsoever. I had a potatoe pie. It was frozen inside (so much to fresh good) so I gave it back, I got a new one but it was still not really tasty. The service was very slow. My boyfriend had the lentils which were better but still doesn’t come up with the very high prices here! Everything very expensive for too small portions and not very good taste! It’s a restaurant yes, more expensive than a warung but there are other restaurants which have way better food and are not that expensive. And on top the manager insulted me (on my tripadviser review) when I said that the prices are too high for the food, portions and service you get, and told me I should go somewhere else where it fits my budget. What?? Insulting unhappy customers? If it wasn’t my budget I wouldn’t have come here. It was just a bad experience. Of course europeans can afford all that, it’s cheap compared to europe but you have to compare to the other restaurants on the island! We went to the restaurant because it looked really cute and the atmosphere seemed nice.

My boyfriend ordered the burger and it was good (this is the reason why this is not a 1 star review). But I ordered the grilled veggies bowl which contained food that was not in proper conditions. It had a lot of ingredients but the taste of the quinoa and the olives was not good at all, they tasted rancid. I only had three spoons of that quinoa mix and my boyfriend just tried it and after some hours we started feeling stomach aches. The next day we had heavy issues and this is the first time it happened during the three weeks we had spent in Indonesia.

When we went to pay, I noticed that they keeped the quinoa mixed with the olives and some other ingredients in a huge jar in the fridge that didn’t seem propely sealed; the whole mix looked like it had been there for more time than it should.

On top of that, we ordered the bruscetta and it was a really small portion.
