Tropical House — Hotel in Gili Trawangan

We saw on booking that they had a room for 3 people available at 206k. As we know booking takes 20% of each reservation on the hotels, we decided to go directly to them to ask for a room at the same price (normal price is 250k). They said it was ok but as it was in the morning, the room wasn't ready, but we can come back later. When we came back, they had changed their minds and decided we had to pay 250k. Great location, basic rooms (very basic just a bed and closet) pool was unfortunately closed for part of our stay. The staff made this place good vibes just a shame the pool was broken but we did get in a couple of times for a refreshing dip! Sun on the pool most of the day. Breakfast was average. Honest but fair review coming up- This should be marketed as a younger more party style accommodation. Rooms were run down, gaps between the doors to outside so mosquitoes could get in. Walls are paper thin to the point where you can hear the people below you having a conversation. Loud music around the pool all day. Breakfast was basic but tasty.
