Jamess Bungalow Gili Trawangan — Hotel in Gili Trawangan

As a backpacker of 5 months I’ve put up with a lot of poor accommodations, however this is by far the worst. Not sure if reviews are being brought to increase sales, but the room was extremely run down & dirty. The bathroom had blood stains on the floors, walls and furniture, the shower only runs cold & the tap covered in limescale. The bed made me feel incredibly sticky and unclean that my sleep was very poor & dampened my time on Gili T. I would highly recommend avoiding.

The one positive I can give is the owner himself is a very nice & approachable guy and the bungalow is located right in the heart of the Gili night life but also away enough to not been affected...

Great room for a cheap price. I had AC and hot water, and the hotel is a bit away from the night life so you can sleep well. Wifi wasn't that fast, around 2 Mbps. They rent bikes for 50k the day, which is a bit expensive I think but it seems to be the norm on this island. For the same price, you can rent a 125cc motorbike in lombok. You can probably find cheaper bikes around though, I paid 30k elsewhere for an afternoon and it was a brand new yellow bike with a lock integrated.

They have a funny bird that does all sorts of sounds, and the staff is super friendly. I would have stayed more nights but it was already...

This place is amazing for the price! The rooms are clean, there is AC and it is right behind the beach and close to all the main bars. Definitely a great choice if you come here to party. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, they can basically arrange everything for you and recommend the best entertainment on the island 😉 Bonus: you can rent a bike right at the entrance, we even saw a laundry there but didn't try it. We cannot recommend this...
