ARTOTEL Casa Kuningan — Hotel in Jakarta

I booked Artotel rooms for stay with group of families. Service was top notch. All staff from the security, concierge, receptionist, restaurant waiters, to the housekeeping were very helpful and friendly. There were several special arrangements that I needed, and the hotel staff accommodate it perfectly.

The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. Love the aesthetic ambiance. Breakfast food, the snacks, and the drinks at La Gazette were delicious! The breakfast was more on the minimalist side in terms of options, but happy with the overall taste of what has been provided. We requested the main course from the night before, making almost no waiting time for us in receiving the food during breakfast (food still warm though, and you can request for heating if needed).

Several things to improve: Check in time & room clean up time: since we were group of families who booked several rooms in the same floor, it took some time until all the rooms are ready. The same with the next day when we went back to our room around 3 pm, the room had not been cleaned due to prioritizing other rooms for early check in. This might be a sign that the hotel need more housekeeping staff to speed up the room cleaning process.

Rooftop bar noise: I booked the room on the 2nd floor considering all the reviews mentioning the noises at night. Apparently, the noise still can be heard on the second floor. Might need some arrangements to prevent the same complaints about this noise.

I stayed for one night for a business trip. Arrived a little later at night and welcomed with such beautiful decoration in the lobby and seamless check in process. Checked in to the room and it was in a good condition, just like the pictures.

The issue started around 10pm when I was about to go to sleep. I stayed on the third floor not knowing there was a rooftop bar right above me. The music was pounding like no other and I could hear people shouting and screaming until 2am. I texted a complaint message to the front office that night, and they responded saying they’d inform the bar to turn the music down. I didn’t think the music went any quieter that night, but I appreciated the effort from the team.

After being wide awake the whole night, I finally got to go to sleep after the bar closed at around 2am. 5 hours later I had to wake up for the meeting scheduled. I texted the front desk to see if there was an availability for late check out as I thought then I could catch on some sleep after the meeting, and they could accommodate that which was very helpful.

For future guests, I’d suggest to stay in lower floor rooms. The lower the better it’d be for you.

For front office team, I appreciate all the effort but I’d suggest if you have to put someone on the third floor you should inform them about this noise situation so they know what to expect. That way the guests can prepare themselves and you’d get less complaints too.

Very bad parking and valet management during our arrival there is no parking spot at all we can't even get off on the drop off area it was raining at that time and the construction near the hotel created lot of muddy puddles the worst is we had to park our car outside and walk to the lobby under the rain through muddy street, the hotel staff don't even offer us valet service.

The room ambience and interiors actually nice but we had an issue while it's raining. We stayed at the 28 Studio room and the corner windows were leaking it's flooding the corner of our room. It's unacceptable we can't imagine if a storm hit's us at that night maybe half the room will be flooded. Also the sound proofing is bad we can hear loud music from the rooftop.

When we're about to leave there were no valet station on the lobby nor the drop off area we had to walk to the security post to give the valet tickets. Yet again our car were parked outside the property and the worst is the valet staff don't know where our car is parked. They had to search the car by clicking the remote.

Not the best stay experience at this hotel. There are alot other hotels on their price range which offers better experience. Another thing is don't expect for a beautiful city views from your room, this property is now surrounded by high rise building now unlike the...
